I haven't seen them anywhere here in Singapore. Salton are the company that makes (?) the George Foreman grills. They do have an online shop in Australia, but I think it only sells to residents and not overseas. You can check it out anyway. www.salton.com.au Alternatively perhaps the UK, at least th...

I tend to use different supermarkets for different things I find. As in most parts of the world even the different branches of the same chain will vary in price. NTUC is not always cheaper than Cold Storage there are quite a few things that I will only buy in one or the other, I am talking of a diff...

Getting to CBD/Orchard in the morning will be max about 20-30 mins, but getting home in the evening could be quite a bit longer because of traffic and the route you have to come back. It is a nice laid back place though, and if you like decent sized rooms and don't want an ultra modern place it is g...

Check out the schools listing on this website (singapore expats that is). International schools have waiting lists as well, you will have to check them out early.

Dover Court has special needs facilities for things like dyslexia.

Ooh, WIMH, I agree, love the dawn of a new day, it is magic as everything wakens and starts moving. The light at that time of day is very special. I used to love driving to work at 4:30-5am back home and you could watch the sun come up. However being a nightowl and enjoying my sleep I don't get to s...

Nothing but nothing makes me jump out of bed in the morning, most times I have to push myself...I hate getting up, doesn't matter what the plans for the day are.

(OK perhaps a large cockroach or 8-legged thingy crawling towards me might do it)

But if that is the way their soldiers march then that is the way they march. Why on earth would they change it?

Plenty of armies do that type of march (as stupid as it looks  )

Personally it didn't make me think of anything like that at all. Just soldiers putting up a flag. :?

Yes Matney, so sad that the competitors they had ready to compete never got the chance. As for the flag bit, get a life people. She carried it, OK it dragged a tiny little bit, so did some others, at least she carried it with a smile. I didn't even notice when it happened so I looked at that clip on...
