And do they have the system here (like in USA) that evictions are handled by law enforcement personnel? Strictly speaking, yes. But of course, I am sure landlords have simply waltzed into properties and tossed everything out and changed the locks. And I have no idea what recourse the tenant has tha...

That's interesting. A letter just like this adressed to a maid who previously worked for my family just came in the mail last week. We didn't open it and simply assumed she actually knew someone serving time in the US (since she did after have to leave after getting pregnant off her Nigerian boyfrie...

Re: Brought over a property, crafting a new tenancy agreemen
Well, completion of sale is just that. Until that occurs, the property is not legally yours and the existing owner can rent it out for whatever amount he considers reasonable and rent up to the point of completion accrues to him or her. Any tenancy agreement signed before completion will be between ...

SGD10k a month?
You could have your pick of anything in that area, only limiting factor being whether you will be provided with a car, or plan to get one.

Technically it doesn't really matter if there is an election coming or not, we already know the result and how the result will be achieved. Yeah. It's funny why so few here think it is fine for 30% of the voting population to have voted for the opposition and yet have a only 2.5% oppositional repre...

This is simply another example of this government's knee jerk reaction to many things. Swinging wildly on any issue one way to the next in a split second. In their attempt to curb the car population, they introduced the COE system which somehow resulted in Singapore roads being flooded with new cars...

OP: you agreed to the terms of the contract, so you really haven't got a case. As far as all tenancy agreements go, anything is possible if both parties sign as a matter of agreement on anything that's not illegal, or unreasonable. Illegal is much easier to define, and there is nothing at all illega...

'Coming from NYC, I'm used to contacting the building landlords directly and working through their leasing office to negotiate an apartment. Hi UK designer, I actually have an office space which I seek to rent out. It is, um about 10 times the size of what you require but can very easily converted into a home office if necessary. Depending on your budget, maybe we can work something out. It's simply that this office has been sitting idle...

Depends on the terms of your tenancy agreement, but it indeed is the case that the standard TA (which is what most people sign) simply means the tenancy gets transferred to the new property owner, ie you get a new landlord. There is someone who posted in another board whose agreement apparently requ...

So you bought a property under the old deferred payment scheme. You simply just sell it. Get someone to offer to buy it, accept the offer, the lawyers take over and there you go, property sold. Hopefully, you will be able to get a price of at least what you paid for it, or higher. Possible in today'...
