This is the response that I got from Tanglin. "We have a long waiting list for year 6 in September 2009. It is difficult for us to say, at the moment, if she will secure a place. We will have a better idea in May – the deadline for all students to withdraw for September." So, quidsin, your son is no...

Is there a Plan B on schools? From the tone of Chatsworth reply to my email, I get the distinct impression that there aren't that many places left. Tanglin School is out as their waiting list is longer than Chatsworth.

So, a plan B school will be quite good.

This is going to be a long term/perm move for us. I am keen that my daughter remains in a British Int'l School that goes all the way to A levels. In terms of living arrangements, I am currently flexible, I am planning to rent until (a) the housing market shows some sense (b) something suitable pops ...

Zeenit, thank you for that prompt. Yes, I am aware of that, we hope to retain a smaller property in London, but overall, I hope to apply for my UK passport soon.

So, is anyone think that 20k is too much to push for?

Sorry, I mean 12+2. 2months bonus, yes, is that a fixed bonus? Someone told me that's a fixed bonus no matter what happen and then there's a discretionary bonus. Is that true?

You think from 80 asking to be rounded up to 100 is too much to ask for?

Saint, how much should I up the offer from SGD80k? The company is a boutique corporate finance company.

And what's this 14+2? Does that mean that its a fixed bonus? Is there anymore discretionary bonus based upon my performance and the company's?

Hi, Saint, thank you for your quick response. This initial offer of SGD80k didn't come via a headhunter, this is a direct offer.

So, room for negotiation? What can be thrown at the pot? Relocation fees? Housing allowance for 3/6months? Salary to SGD100?

Hi - advise and guidance needed.

This maybe a long winded post, so, please bear with me. I am a Msian by birth and nationality, though have resided in UK for the past 20years or so. Have an indefinite leave to remain. Have never converted to become a UK citizen. Anyhow, maybe offered a job offer out in Singapore as I am keen to rel...
