Re: HDB subletting of rooms / units

I've just arrived here...and.. I'm wondering whether when renting HDB flats that we will always have to share with the owner (the Singapore citizen who owns the HDB flats and currently living there). Thanks. The owner can either: - 1. Obtain permit from HDB to sublet the whole unit 2. Obtain permit...

apartments and housing

vm,

You can go for a 2 bedrooms at the serangoon area which costs about $1,200 for condominiums.

If you opt for HDB (govt flats) they could cost you about $700-$800. Really depends on how far you want to stretch.

Thanks

For less regular sized beds you would need to get them custom made. inj Singapore most single beds are either singles or super singles.

I have seen some on the singaporeexpats page and I was wondering whether anyone has used them as agents. I have heard all kinds of horror stories about a...

Re: Thanks

Thanks for the reply Joop. Actually, my math was a bit off. I am worried because I would have $1700, not $2700 left and that is before tax and insurance etc. That is why I am a bit unsure about whether it is possible to get a condo. I am leaning towards other flats at the moment. Go for a HDB flat ...

Re: scrutinise my budget

I am moving to Singapore soon. I have a salary of $3300 or so (not such a wage decrease because I am a scientist and no one likes us). I am coming on my own and I was thinking of going for a more pricey condo type thing because I like swimming every day and they advertise pools. I was wondering if ...
