there were about 30+ girls and 11 guys for WCT..not sure of the number of girls, maybe orangecake can let you know..about 40-50 of us la basically..i know 2 or 3 guys got chopped during wct

well, yes..i'm 19 and just curious if they happen to say "why not get higher education and come back next yr or sth?"..well as in being confident, it has always been there..just don't want a slight glitch to affect the whole process..should be alright..thx shazni & orangecake!

glad to hear that...
now i have a huge problem!! age!! i seem to be the youngest there, and i know it has been tricky before for those around my age..orangecake, any idea how to go along with it? argh, two more weeks of no sleep again... :cry:

hey cantswim, don't sound so down yeah..i guess, the interviewers saw something potential in her and gave her the green lights to go on...you can always try again, don't give up yeah..

and yes, i'll be glad to ask the same question...keep trying k? all the best =)) :)

12345..thanks for the wishes.. about the passing rate, well hard to say much for the guys. my first round, only 3 of us made it and only abt 12-13 of us made it for WCT..i think some got axed during WCT too. frankly speaking, the others had nothing much to say + their command of the language was poo...

just a little update... i was one of the three who made it through round 1...10 ppl..introduce your name and tell us what you like about singapore and state how many times you've been there... 2nd round, 1-1 interview...interviewer was a real fatherly man...damn nice talking to him.. outcome: passed...

Plavt, those rules do not apply now. nowadays, with glasses, you can still be a pilot. i have loads of friends who wear glasses and they're currently pursuing their licenses in various flying schools around malaysia and i do know two of them who got into SQ last december - At least 1.65 m in height ...

they're trained on the 777 upon learjet phase in maroochydore..
i don't remember any cadet being trained on the 747 upon completing learjet phase..anyone care to clarify?

if you did not get shortlisted for the first interview, it's not your astig to be blamed, i guess. your eyesight is only taken into account during the medical checkup. as to ICAO rules, you should be able to read 6/60 without optical aids, corrected to 6/6 with optical aids..thats about it to my und...
