Where?

I've been looking for two weeks now for a 3+1 (or even 2+1) near NUS and have been told there is nothing under $2.5K. I'd love to get the name of an agent who actually has HDB's listed in this area. I'm desperate for something by the 18th.

Thanks!

Thanks Leone and Sundaymorningstaple, Thanks for the sizes, I'm going home for lunch to check the new packages. I'm having them all cleaned here since I hear it might take awhile for the heavy sheets to dry in Sing. We are bringing one blow up bed (Columbia we just bought for a sleep-over) with an i...

bed sheet sizes

are Singapore beds smaller? I just bought my daughter a fun floral set for her "new" room in Singapore, but now I'm worried we wasted some money. Help--how are the beds different?

Who leases--or is it really not as expensive to buy a car?

Thanks for the replies! Seems everyone at the university has a car--how can they afford it with some of the prices I've seen posted? Do most ex-pats lease? and how do you keep on top of all the certificates and special stickers you'll need?

anyone imported a car?

Sorry I don't have an answer, but I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has imported a car into Singapore from either the US or Canada. My husband is very interested in bringing a brand new car to Singapore since we've heard how expensive it if to buy--but I understand it is also extremely expen...

Thanks!

I appreciate the links. Any chance you migth have some for medical insurance--esp. hospitalization insurance? My husband is most worried about medical insurance, and I'd like to know how other expats (particularly those of us used to paying each month through our employer and then paying a co-pay at...

US citizen with family relocating to NUS

Happy Holidays! I've been told a few things by NUS officials that I'd like to double check with readers of this site--especially US expats. We're from the mid-west, so this will be a big change for us. Annual Base Salary: $110,000 SD one-time relocation: $10,000 SD no accomodations (except one month...
