Malaysia has a MMH2 program which you can use your money to get a 10 year resident visa. You can consider that.

What exactly is your experience in financial or banking industry?

I am also working in Banking industry. I can share with you at your level it is extremely difficult to get a job here unless you are transferred in by your company.

Also, I am aware that a similar couple (EP wife and DP husband) with much higher income was rejected. I am not sure if this is one of the hidden rules that gahmen doesn’t really want non working husband.

I actually don’t understand what the OP wants to ask from the forum here. and you spoke to one “immigration agent”, not “immigration officer”, that contribution to society is important. So now you got different answer from “immigration officer”, you better go back and challenge your “immigration agent” why it is so.
