Has anyone tried Extra Virgin Pizza in United Square? Kept passing by it but never had the motivation to try yet :P You've probably tried it by now, but I like the white pizza at Extra Virgin. I think they have the best white pizza in Singapore. For meat pizzas, I think DaPaolo Pizza bar and Mozza ...

I'm surprised no one has brought up all the tons of food you will see set out for offerings everywhere. All the hawker centres and temples will have several tables set out with food for these ghosts (and rats and flies) to enjoy.

But does anyone know if having a DP (if we were to get married) will help make me more attractive to a company? Obviously they won't then have to sponsor my visa as a DP entitles you to work but I have been told that visa sponsorship is a negligible amount and shouldn't put a company off employing ...

p.s. 'Marriage is an option', for some people. But for some others that have chosen not to become married, then doing so for a visa is not desirable. Others have chosen not to be married, and won't do so under any circumstances. If not being married is more important than seeing your partner every ...

It was just a matter of time before the loophole was slammed shut. They don't allow common law marriages for Citizens so they were in an uproar. They were allowing girlfriends and boyfriends of expats in on the same pass as spouses of SC. The pass for spouse of expat is superior to that for spouse ...

Hear about how they demand lower wages because they don't intend to set root in Singapore Never heard of anyone demanding lower wages.... that's a new one for me.... Sorry, I should rephrase it. Demand lower wages than Singaporeans coz they do not have to pay the expenses associated with living in ...

@triste I think it's a case of letting the internet scare us. We were feeling generally positive, until we did some 'research' and saw lots of posts about how difficult it is to get an EP, PR rejections, etc. I've been there with letting the Internet scare you, but here I am. My spouse is an SC and...

The LTVP is not for people who want to work in Singapore. It is for spouses of Singapore Citizens and S-Pass holders. You can not work on this pass. But by simply putting a tick in a box on the LTVP form, you can apply for an LTVP+. And that does confer a right to work. hi! Did you read the OP? The...

I think you're more worried than you need be. The first step is worrying about getting employment for the two of you. If you can secure that, then you're good. I wouldn't even think about PR until you have found jobs and settled in a bit. But let's say you both had jobs and were moved in with mom. W...

I can't even find a spouse visa for a citizen's partner on it at all (only for foreign national's spouses or family), and the ICA website seems to be saying a long term visa pass (LTVP), which by the mom website is for people who want to work in Singapore... The LTVP is not for people who want to w...

I personally haven't had trouble with waits, almost ever, but agree costs are ridiculous. Wife had a blood and urine test as a part of a check-up, there were four or five separate tests billed at hundred of dollars each (I guess one for each thing they checked for inside those samples?). Now I'm lu...

Considering how much the housewares sections seem to have grown in the past few years, you'd think more Singaporeans were cooking at home. I find it crazy how often people eat out here.

You don't need to pay a separate fee for a multiple-entry visa. You can travel on the LTVP. I have traveled back to my country and throughout the region with no difficulties entering or exiting on the LTVP. All you need at Immigration is your passport and the pass. And if your wife gave her fingerpr...
