I dont know the laws and regulations on Passes but I have personally taken more than 1 month unpaid leave for a backpacking trip with no implications.

Depends - case by case - have seen loans given to Directors who are also shareholders or just Directors. Typically only the owner has unlimited liability and either him or his entity can be sued. Despite everything you just mentioned - yes they can. From business experience. Not sure if they can imprison you but I doubt it but they have the ability to stop business and fine. That's why on Sundays you can see their vans for example going around in Little India.

Yeah property market in Singapore crashes - during the 2008 - 2009 the property index was down 40% I believe but quickly rebounded. I just invest in ETFs and very specific companies - no difference la.
