Re: PR Application

Hi, I am facing the same issue. Does meeting the MP helps? What can they do? Singapore is pretty much a meritocratic society. ICA isn’t gonna give a rat’s ass even if they see your application accompanied with a letter from your MP. I know this gets asked around here a lot because this works elsewh...

Re: Citizenship application status still pending

Congrats!

Sometimes I wonder if the norm for the processing time nowadays is 12-18 months. If it is, ICA should put that instead of 6-12 months. At least then there won't be all the people here asking why their application is taking so long...

Re: Rejected the transfer of REP?

Wait, your REP is going to be expired in 3 weeks? If so, try and renew it now. If that's also rejected, you know what that means...

Re: Regarding PR application

The reason why people are trolling you OP is because you make it sound like there are things you can do to make your application look better (on paper or otherwise). This isn't how it works in Singapore. If you want to know the method of applying for PR, follow the guidelines on the ICA website. For...

Re: PR Approved

She applied on February 29th this year. I heard that those who applied on February 28th all got rejected. If you applied on Feb 29th, go check your mailbox!

EDIT: oh wait but I hear those who stay in Pasir Ris have a considerably lower chance of approval so don’t hold your breath

Re: Citizenship application status still pending

Hi, I submitted my SC application (with family, wife and 2 daughters) in Aug 2017. Status still says pending. Going by the comments, it seems this long review period is pretty standard nowadays. However, wanted to seek feedback if I should be taking this as a positive? i.e. are there stats/data poi...

Re: Procedure to apply Singapore PR ?

Quite honestly, if you have to ask, I don't think the government would even want you as one.

Nevertheless, here you go: https://www.ica.gov.sg/apply/PR/apply_PR_who

Re: e-SC Application question

Quick question: Submitted my documents for SC in April 2018. While submitting, I did inform the ICA officer handling my application that I might be changing job soon. She told me that when that happens, I just need to update ICA by submitting the employment letter + 1 month payslip. Well, I did cha...

Re: What are my chances for Singapore Citizenship

Thanks for your quick reply.. Would an applicant nowadays get rejected almost immediately or all applications would go through months of processing? I know it happens that people would wait for a year or more only to know it’s unsuccessful. However is it a norm, or it’s usually much faster to know ...

Re: Application for Singapore Citizenship

Thanks for the advice. very assuring :) When do you think it will be appropriate for me to apply though ? at least a year after employment ? how long will the whole process takes ? A few years ago when I had no working experience but I wanted to apply for citizenship, the ICA officer asked me if I’...

If you’ve been working since 2001, I presume your age might well be a factor too.
