another possible reason is, could your wife have a criminal record of some kind? or known to have been associated with some kind of protest ( i remember a couple of years back, some burmese tried to protest the junta here)

So it clearly shows criteria for citizenship application is not tightened, regardless of race or religion, so long one has been PR for more than 5 years. Just an update, applied end of june, got my citizenship approval end of sept (total 3 months), my details are above(in MS's quote). Hope it helps someone

Its on ITV, so all you need is a VPN (use the search button (under the profile link, top right) to find a resolved and yet ongoing discussion about that). ITV is bbc iplayer TV? Que!? :? I'm also looking forward to the world cup, getting MIO is not an option (12 month contract just to watch 2 month of rugby) as i'm on starhub already

I could be wrong, but there is a function which allows you to transfer your REP to a different passport, maybe you can use that..
