bak_kwa wrote:Hello all,

I am looking for good assessment centres in Singapore where 3 to 5 years old children are assessed whether they are ADHD afflicted or not.

Please advise.

Thanks in advance :)

Re: GUIDE: Where should I/we consider living? [Suggested v1.0]

I would look around the Faber Green / Terrace / Hills area. Not close to MRT but really handy for UWC / Tanglin / Dover / Canadian (senior) International schools. Not good if you want the French or Australian school, but they are nowhere near easy to get to Queenstown. But please - dont pay 9-12K pe...

I think that joke needs the visual props that went with it, and without the visuals is just not funny. Im guessing it was just the usual first spam post

Re: Effects on quitting job after getting PR

I would think the benefits of staying employed with sick leave would at least help out - even "unpaid" leave for a while whilst staying employed would look much better on both future job applications and on REP.

Issue with landlord - any advice?

TL;DR owner wants her daughter to move in so being nasty. I reported to my landlord the Aircon service found rust in the unit (due to age) in Sept 2017. keeping it short, it was finally replaced last week but only after my not paying rent to her but putting in escrow instead. Owner went balistic, th...

Re: Cancelling EP IPA and applying for a new one? Will I be blacklisted?

As a note. Moving from PEP to EP took about a week to get the IPA, but just before the IPA an error was noticed (the error was advise from the agency which was wrong) so I had to reapply and the agency asked to expidite it due to the error. The second (expidited replacement) one took over 2 weeks. R...

Re: Negotiate salary after EP approved

You have the option of rejecting the pass and asking the employer to offer you more money, then resubmit the new paperwork. Upside you get a higher salary. Downside you dont have a job or a pass and have to leave the country. If its the salary you expected then it is probably what you discussed and ...

Re: Shoe repair

Thanks, I googled them before heading ther and ther are a few bad reviews in Yelp and HardwareZone so may try an uncle first - but I think an Uncle only does the heel/sole replacement and the bottom of my shoe is cracked.

Strong Eagle posted earlier in the thread. Yes its a 27 page document, which is why I suggest you will find nobody actually does it unless they run an import company. That document has a step by step checklist that covers pages 9 through 16

Shoe repair

I know there are many uncles that repair shoes, but the only ones I have used are Holland V and Tekka Market.

I am loking for a good shoe repair place near Paya Lebar MRT on green line to Expo.

Any recommendations?

On that note, have lease prices dropped or stayed the same over the last few years. When I last looked it wasnt worth it over buying.

Any sites that have historical values or comparisons?

Re: Moving to Singapore in Nov/Dec - Neighbourhood recommendation

Look for landed property around Faber Green first, or Pasir Panjang second. It would give everything you listed in the price you wanted. There are some places at East Coast but that would be more than 30 minutes to Tanjong Pagar. Ust the map feature to find others, to get to the area I had to pick a...

No idea about the legalities, but as soon as you think
"Well it wasn't supposed to get in your hands."
then I think you have overstepped and that it was wrong to send.

Everyone did stupid things as a teenager, but hopefully the world is getting better at this.
