Re: Organic food

Also Organic food comes in even more unnecessary plastic waste then otherwise requires more land clearing for the same output yet claims environmental benefits

Re: LTVP Status After Divorce?

Hi I’m holding a LTVP and am married to a Singaporean citizen. Unfortunately we have decided to get divorced due to personal differences. Once my divorce has been confirmed, what will happen to the status of my current Long Term Visit Pass? Will it be revoked/cancelled immediately or am I still per...

Re: Organic food

Organic foods may have higher nutritional value than conventional food. But I guess, eating non-organic food are fine, but importantly just eat more fruits & vegetable. Do you have any evidence to back that up? Most of what we eat, even "organic" has been the result of genetic selection. Organic is...

Re: Can a WP holder return to Singapore 1 week after WP expires for holiday?

You get an automatic 28 (30?) day social visit on cancellation but I dont know if that is single entry or not. If she is in the country she doesnt have to leave, if she is out of the country I would check with ICA

Re: Looking for Anti-Vaccine organization in SG

If you are in any doubt, PLEASE DONT VACCINATE YOUR CHILDREN. This was not written by me - well, it was part of what was written by me before the Mods changed it and completely changed the intent The Mod who changed this to an antivax style post is a despicable person. Let me be clear - I said some...

Re: No Vaccination for newborns

Why are they called Anti-Vax and not pro-disease? There are a few realistic reasons for not vaccinating, but 99.9% of the anti-vax crowd are ill informed. Vaccines are there not because Vaccines are trying to cause some government conspiracy, they are there to stop stupidity in parents. If you have ...

Re: Two men charged over loaded pistols

It was easy up until a decade ago to buy guns in Thailand and obviously quite possible to smuggle them down to Singapore. SMS may remember a case in the 90s where a former US Veteran had smuggled in a shotgun and something else and end up in a gun battle before killing himself. It was very sad. How...

Re: Marrying after the divorce

Interesting question - if someone marries overseas after already living here on a pass what do they do to inform the various Government agencies? Or does that only matter when issuing a DP (as I guess EP/S Pass wouldnt change)

Re: New car or Used Car?

3,300 total cost on the road? Sounds appealing. But aren't you drenched in sweat after every journey? Yes 5 years COE left. Not sweat but rain can be an issue. I got a CBR150R with just over 2 years remaining for $2.8K gets me around except when it rains and I always wear protective jacket if I am ...

A friend recently gave up owning his car and took Grab (literally) everywhere and it still cost half the car lease even before parking, petrol and servicing.
