I'm one - we're both recent expats here. I met my better half in grad school in the US and 20 odd years later we find ourselves in Singapore. She's Caucasian and I'm not. I am also not East Asian. I am on of those brown lot. I can't say I've noticed any particular negative reaction to our pairing (p...

The most common LTE frequencies worldwide are 1800/2600 and both of these are supported by all three Singapore carriers. ATT on the other hand supports 700/1700/2100 so as the previous posters have said you'll end up on 3G or less here.

Bargaining at sgcarmart.com

Finally decided to get us a some wheels and have seen some we like at sgmart.com...

Now - how much bargaining leverage do we have? Didn't find any previous discussion on this topic.

Also - is there any edmunds/kelley blue book like site to get an estimate of TMV here?

What SE wrote is correct and that is exactly my situation. The company I work for HAS no Singapore presence and payment for my services are from and in the US. I'm the unusual male trailing spouse on a DP. However, I have declared to and paid my income taxes for both countries. edited to change SMS ...

Time to dig this up. I used to play competitively years ago and am keen again to start it up again. There were just 4 old threads here and this was the latest one. :)

Anyone?

Don't you know it. When we go back the States over summer, my wife, my teen daughter and I will have 3 suitcases each (one inside the other) on the way in and three suitcases each of clothes, shoes, cosmetics, and electronics on the return trip. One of the smaller suitcases is packed with Dunkin Don...

Almost 50s?

Is there a club for that or are we not allowed in Singapore?

PS: I'm in my late 20s as a principle though not in passport.

If you are complaining of drivers here then you haven't driven on the 5 near LA. As for speeds, it was routine for me to be doing 75-80* commuting to work on the 805 - and I was the slower ones. This isn't in the boondocks - this was right around town (from mid-town to North County).

I was in Langkawi in January - had the new stick on 1/2 and tear off 1/2 visit pass in the passport. Aside: I still do not get it why the bird-cage liner is so anal. An url link will actually drive traffic to them. I've been here 2 years now and have stopped reading the rag a year ago. I get local n...

I'm glad I asked. The subsequent discussion has been fascinating! Now my wife thinks I am weird as I try to compare a walk with the description here. What has been seen, cannot be unseen.

It's been a while since I visited this forum. Always good for a laugh. Anyone older than 5 and not from Singapore has swallowed gum at least once in their lives and lived to tell about it. Except for the one who had water melon seeds embedded in the gum and it started germinating.
