Re: Chances of citizenship approval

Hi All, Thanks for previous replies - I am not racist.. just put that as my nick name... nothing intentional. I submitted documents in Jun-2017, still haven't got any reply from ICA. What are my chances of approval? Waiting eagerly for reply. Nobody here has a pipeline into the ICA and can only spe...

Re: Online PR Application Outcome?

We are both originally from Latin America and we would like to star a family in Singapore. How high do you think are our chances to get PR if we apply after being 6 months in the job? We don't care to send a future son to the military either. Thanks for your answer. So... you do want to accept the ...

Re: Network Cable - CAT6

Food for thought: The average printer only needs well under megabit speeds for printing, and most printers will only have 100 base T ports. IP phones required under 200K bps for voice conversations, and again, will be 100 meg ports. The average high definition movie requires 6 megabits per second, g...

Re: Applying for employment pass before giving offer letter

Thanks for the reply. Okay , so you mean to say it's completely normal to wait for EP approval before giving out the written offer letter ? Sent from my TA-1021 using Tapatalk It can happen either way, BUT, my experience is that the offer letter is made, contingent upon approval of the EP such that...

You do not have to surrender any existing license in order to obtain you Singapore license. I retained my Texas license both on EP and as PR.

This site does not permit selling of goods and services within its forums. The book to which you refer was either in one of the multitude of Google ads on this page, in which case, good luck in finding the specific ad, or it was advertised in our classifieds. Be aware that there are many good thread...

Re: Network Cable - CAT6

What devices are you going to connect that will run faster than gigabit speed? I'm not saying don't do it, and, I've seen a lot of people incur the unnecessary expense of CAT6. It's also much harder to terminate if you're making your own cables.

Re: Network Cable - CAT6

Why do you want CAT6? For most purposes, CAT5e is all you will ever need. Most hardwire connected devices have gigabit ports, which CAT5e supports under 100 meters. As you go from CAT5 to CAT5e to CAT6, both the wire size and insulation thickness increase, not because anyone is trying to make the ca...

Re: Working in Singapore for a UK Company

Your best bet will be to start a company. I've written in many threads about starting a company; you should do a search on my handle for more information. You will be better off having your company form the company and have it owned as a wholly owned subsidiary. I say this because every last plonker...

Re: Working in Singapore for a UK Company

You have two issues to deal with, and of the two, legal residency is the more pressing issue for you. You have the following choices to be able to legally reside in Singapore. ⋅ Be a citizen (aint gonna happen for you) ⋅ Be a permanent resident (PR - very likely will never happen...

Re: EP pending since 5 months

That's great news, congrats Sarah! Hey Anotom, any news on your case? Hey Subba115, Yes there is a not-optimistic news. EP wasn't rejected nor approved, but company's rescinded the offer. Frustrating but well, it happened! I hope you guys won't have to experience this I suspect that this is exactly...

Re: Work visa question

All you can do is be honest, and explain the situation. My sense is that this will not cause your EP to be denied, or if it is, an appeal with a detailed explanation might do the trick. I would not risk lying on the application, as the chances of being found out are non zero... even Thailand immigra...
