Re: Can I be employed in SG and be on HK work/study/entrepreneur visa?

Thank you for sharing. I am surprised they responded that way, and primarily for the reasons that SMS mentioned but also because when you are tax resident in Singapore, it doesn't matter which subsidiary is paying you, it is taxable income in Singapore. I think you are going to run into trouble with...

Re: Please Help: How to get visa in Singapore?

Yes I am a citizen myself and we have thought about this but is there any other option other than marriage? marriage to a pink IC opens up a lot of options, including LTVP+ .. And ability to work in any job. I understand that but we're not exactly ready for something like that just yet and we don't...

That's because you didn't ask them.

You cannot hold multiple jobs in Singapore. What you do in terms of employment outside of Singapore is up to you and up to your employer. Many employers prohibit employees from moonlighting. So outside Singapore can if my employer is OK? My employer will be fine Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapata...

Re: Tax Residency Status - 111 Days in CY17 (365 in CY18)

The IRAS website covers all scenarios except those who start work here after the 15th of November. These will not meet the 183 days by the final filing date of 15 April. But I do know of those who have been given resident rates even though they haven't met the 183 days spanning 2 years, hence my ad...

Re: Should we move to Singapore?

I would not settle in Singapore unless you are willing to live with uncertainty of your residence status. If you both lose work permits, you'll be tossed in 30 days. Period. End. I have no hotline into MoM, and I judge your husband will have a difficult time finding work and getting a work permit fo...

You'll be OK... your status is officially set at the time your tax is due, but it uses these guidelines.

Sounds just like the kinds of statements previous US presidents made in (relative) private.

The difference is that Trump does not separate his public and private personas.

There is a MUCH larger difference than that which you assert.

Re: Minor repair fee in TA

We had $150 7 years ago, so not unreasonable. We also had a clause that if we had to fix something more than twice LL had to fix or replace next time... the dryer, for example.
