Re: E Pass or LTVP with ROM&LOC Higher Chance

We had a fairly tricky case with my wife she is from Vietnam (rejected entry at Changi custom before) but the team at XXXXX resolved everything for us. Very happy with their service and would certainly use them again. If you're from Australia, why are you posting from a Ukraine IP address? Moderato...

Re: Having a hard time finding job on DP status

Thanks @sundaymorningstaple for your reply. The only thing I assumed was that I am a CPA with great experience in senior positions so it may not be as difficult. I did know for a fact that there are a lot of CPAs out here but again being an experienced professional makes a difference. I will contin...

Re: Seeking Advice: Probation after Promotion?

I read this about three or four times. Unless you absolutely have no opportunity to take another job, I'd tell them to stuff their "promotion" up their ass with a ten foot pole. This is a screw job all the way around. I wouldn't put up with it. I'd tell them to f*ck off, that if they want ...

Re: Subsidiary Company Employee Apply PR Annex A

A wholly owned subsidiary is a standalone pte ltd in Singapore. It is neither a branch, nor a rep office. No distinction is required. For example, Dell Pte Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dell USA.

Re: Address of Company & Place of Incorporation

The company I working right now is a small company with few staffs. Therefore there is no HR can help. The point is, if you don't know, don't guess. Find someone in the company who knows. Why would any of us on the board know which address to use? PS: Somebody always does HR. Maybe not dedicated bu...

Re: Online business on a s pass

Not legal. You can't work another job, even your own, on a work pass. And if it were legal, and since you are a Singapore resident for tax purposes, you'd report all your earnings from your side jobs here. But, as you can't be working two jobs here, even your own, you'd be finding yourself in betwee...

Re: Question on Drop Shipping Business

Thank you all for the answers! You very comprehensively answered questions on the legal side. But I also have questions and they are more practical. How do you organize your business? Do you resell goods and take on the role of an intermediary? Or you open your online store. I have so far little ex...

How to Determine Paid Up Capital

This question was sent to me privately. I do not generally respond to questions sent privately. Hi Strong Eagle, Can I ask you a quick question regarding paid up Capital for an EP application from a new subsidiary company in SG? So once I have incorporated the company, have a nominee director in pla...

Re: For Employee, what are the risks associated with an Employer of Record arrangement vs. a direct employment contract?

I am not a lawyer, and as food for thought for you: If you are being employed in Singapore and your permanent residence is in Singapore then one of two employment conditions must be true. a) You are self-employed, a condition which can occur only if you are a citizen, PR, or one of the fortunate few...
