Re: Property Rental for Self Employed

Hello Eagle, Thank you for your response. I probably should have qualified "self-employed". I am a writer, not a business owner. So my real question is whether a foreigner can lease a property in Singapore? Or is it only possible to rent a property with a Pass or PR ? if the later, would ...

Re: Can children born in Singapore stay after 42 days if parents' incomes are less than DP-eligible?

You are building your future on a pile of shifting sand if you want to make Singapore your permanent home. Without at least PR, you and your future non-Singaporean wife are both at risk of immediate deportation if you lose your job and cannot find another one within 30 days. You have no security. Wh...

Re: REP Renewal

If you are out of the country and your REP expires or the government does not renew it, you no longer have PR. If you are in the country and your REP expires and is not renewed, you keep your PR but the instant you leave the country, your PR is invalid. "Permanent resident" means that you ...

Re: Property Rental for Self Employed

If you are self employed and planning on conducting business in Singapore, you will need to be registered with with ACRA with a business entity and your business entity will need to apply for an employment pass for you from MoM. You will then have legal residence status. You cannot simply come over,...

Yah... deleted two similar posts about travel sites... then this one appeared... trying to figure out what these clowns are doing without adding spamming links to messages. I think that comes later.

I don't think you will have an issue with either account. I opened a Stan Chart account in 2004, left Singapore in 2013, and I still have my Stan Chart account. I still have UOB credit cards as well although I never use them.

Re: Partnership Offer

I have no idea why Singapore allows these people in - maybe some sort of criminal international alliance? I don't get it, either. You read about all the hassles that people have trying to get work and residence permits, and here we've got a bunch of Russian blondes, and dare I say, t̶h̶u̶g̶s̶,̶ men...

Re: Partnership Offer

I wouldn't go near a Russian and business in Singapore.... I know there are some straight Russians who haven't been co-opted by their countries crime gangs but they are usually in honest jobs back in Russia. And as a sidenote, I've often wondered how that club on the 4th floor at Orchard Towers (To...

Re: Partnership Offer

And what to get Singapore EP is hard to get? I plan to move with my family after 3 months. You need to be offered a job by a Singapore based company. They will then apply to Ministry of Manpower for your EP. If both you and the company meet requirements an EP will be issued, allowing you to work fo...

It's a lot less hassle to get what you want if you just drop over to four floors.

Could be. Then again, after using all the IP location tools I have, I'd bet they are sitting at the same desk in Bucharest. Static IP, no known proxy. Unusual for two posters to have the exact same IP address, especially when static IP is used.

Re: CPA/Remote Office/Nominee Director

You will be hard pressed to find a cheaper company. They have all been burned by unscrupulous people. They want to handle all aspects of your business to protect themselves and ensure that you are operating legally. If you are operating legally, your best best would be to employ a Singapore citizen ...
