Re: Must a DP holder stay in Singapore?

You are not required to stay in Singapore. Your DP grants you residence rights in Singapore, tied to the EP with which it is associated. So long as the EP is in force, the DP is in force, and you can travel and live wherever you want.

Re: How do I move to Singapore as a Streamer/Youtuber?

You can't do this. Many people want to do this, so many, in fact, that the government works hard to make sure they can't. Such is life.

Re: Pass Holder doing part time online work

Here is your problem. ⋅ It is true that a resident of Singapore can work for a company that has no presence in Singapore and provides no goods and services in Singapore and does not require a work permit to do so. ⋅ It is also true that the person performing such work must also f...

So... let me ask you a question.

You say you are in Singapore but you are posting from a Milano, Italy IP address.

And talking dual fuel refrigerators on an expat board?

Re: Looking for testers for a divorce support site

I, and a handful of others, way back when, formed a divorced fathers support group in Texas, called "Texas Fathers for Equal Rights, Wives and Grandparents Coalition". Although we wrote legislation and lobbied for it with the Texas legislature, eventually seeing a joint custody bill passed...

Re: Retiring in Singapore

Technically, a foreigner can't live in Singapore without a work permit. Even PR's who aren't supported by another on the family PR scheme may find themselves without PR if they don't have a job for an extended time. Having said that, there are obviously exceptions. For example, the retired managing ...

Re: EP rejected due to 'qualifications'. What to do?

I have an offer that exceeds the pay criteria in the EP (P1) requirements ($200k/pa), and have previously worked in Singapore a few years ago. My EP application by the new employer was rejected by the MoM on the grounds of 'qualifications', and though the employer is going to appeal, I'm wondering ...

Re: I am looking for an effective image search tool

I am looking for an effective image search tool, I want to find out where my pictures are used, it should be able to track them in social networks and dating sites. The google image search and tinEye were not effective. Good luck with that. Image recognition is not a precise science. Cropping your ...

Re: Work remotely on a visa-free entry

You will have no issues. Anything under 60 days is not taxable at all. More importantly, Singapore is concerned with local employment being affected, and your working remotely doesn't do that. You are working for a foreign employer who is paying your salary. Pay your taxes as usual.

No replies because no one knows for sure. SWAG says probably "no chance" but not enough information to make an accurate judgment.
