Re: Is it possible to work remotely for US company for a few months?

The MoM is very efficient! Thank you for your online enquiry on 28 January 2021. A Letter of Consent (LOC) will not be required when: 1) A Dependant's Pass (DP) holder is working for an overseas company from home; and 2) The overseas company has no local presence; and 3) The DP holder is not meetin...

Re: New Business - questions

Thanks for your reply. Your posts have been really helpful. We are certainly not trying to gain an EP / scamming the system. I have been running a successful ltd company in London providing branding consultancy for the past 3 years, so know i have a viable business (and accounts to show) which I am...

Re: Consulting on Dependent Pass ?

Same situation for my wife, works for a global pharmas research division, will like to continue working for same company remotely while she finds a new job in SG. Can she work on DP remotely, or will this require an EP/LOC? her company has a local office that sells their products in SG, but she's w...

Also required to pay Singapore taxes on income earned while resident in Singapore. Of course, they will never know if you don't report, but that is the law. You file as an unregistered sole proprietor on what is basically a 5 line form.

Re: New Business - questions

Mostly answered in another thread. Be aware that you may have a challenge on gaining an EP for your partner. Literally thousands of scammers have tried to form companies, then apply for an EP for themselves, in order to backdoor their way into the country. Most of these people immediately shoot them...

Re: Foreign Company Setting Up Subsidiary in Singapore

Hi strong eagle and PNGMK - I have been reading I your posts intently but as I am a newbie unable to PM you. I know this post was over 2 years ago now, but wondered if you could recommend a CPA for the services you have described above? Many thanks! If you are planning on having a firm supply you w...

Re: Company Director and tax residence

As long as you have a permanent residence in Singapore, you can travel all you want. You're still resident for tax purposes. The EP, as PNGMK noted, confirms this.

Re: EP with goal of PR - Dual Nationality Question

My ultimate goal is to become a SG PR... Bzzzzt. Wrong goal... at least in the eyes of the gahmen. Historical details: I hold Canadian citizenship by birth, UK citizenship by right of descent, and US citizenship by naturalization. I've lived in the USA since I was 15, and I am an American in life a...

Re: Why did this forum die?

Ahhh... eren_jaeger... aggressive, argumentative, inaccurate, never admits wrong... and adds nothing of substance to the forum. The mods have been through hundreds of folks like you.

I know you'll want the last word... so have at it. I'm done. Out.

Re: Why did this forum die?

Appreciate your regurgitation of the forum rules here, I have already answered to your question. In case you missed it, please read my reply to your fellow mate above. You haven't answered shit. You said two moderators were being banned. Which ones are they? As to why this forum is dying: Up until ...

Which moderators are those? You must have some inside information? The reason being because there were two moderators who were particularly anal about anything that people posted in this forum, making this portal fairly toxic and therefore pissed off a lot of members who went to other portals inste...

Re: Does ICA keep records of past PR/SC applications?

I have anecdotal evidence that tells me all the records pertaining to my EntrePass and EP were still available under my NRIC when I got PR. My business plan, my company formation, all available under NRIC. Makes sense. Governments rarely let records be destroyed for any reason, unless forced to do so.

Re: Organic food

Unless you are eating rocks and sand, everything you put in your mouth is "organic". Organic is a giant scam, for the most part... no healthier, no better quality, and more expensive. I second everything The Ref said. Right up there with this organic nonsense is "gluten free". Hell, I've even seen w...
