Re: PR cancellation

transfer to OCBC but cpf told me they have more "stringent" check now, and standard processing time is 6-8 weeks Is the form still the same? Since I was overseas when I cancelled PR, I didn't want to have to walk into a bank and get the form signed. Instead, I had the bank send me an orig...

Re: PR cancellation

Hi It seems like now it takes about 6-8 weeks to get the money in your bank, at least according to CPF board as of now (August '17). Anyone else has done it recently? I will update once I get the cpf sum "banked in". What method of transfer did you specify on your CPF refund request? It's...

Re: Citizen application chance?

I actually had high hopes, I know I dont earn much but I do some niche research work that was featured in the few local and international newspapers including NY times. Oh well, moral of the story is, I guess, race should be right! I really thought my work is going to supersede my race. On the brigh...

Re: PR APPLICATION 6 MONTHS FINISHED

welcome archk

What I have seen so far... standard PR application processing(reject/approval) time for other than Malaysian/Indonesian Chinese is 1-2 yr, and longer waiting time does not mean anything .

Not sure if that information is helpful at all! Good luck.

Re: Is it legal to long term rent a condo if you are not a PR and you do not work in Sg

Well the thing is, when you are going to rent an apartment they (agent/owner) will ask you for your residence permit which you don't have. On the other hand you could look for a serviced apartment which is relatively more expensive but is allowed for visitors to rent.
