Re: Renunciation and Medisheild

For the OP AK 2017

No relation between renunciation at ICA and medishield

Medishield is under the CPF when you withdraw any monies from CPF then this owing will reflect, since you don't have any, don't bother

Re: MINDEF Contact

Re: Renunciation Process at SG ICA

Hi, has anyone gone through the process of renouncing SG citizenship this year to help with some questions ? 1) Do I need to have my foreign citizenship certificate/passport notarised OVERSEAS before going to ICA Singapore? If you are flying back to Singapore, bring your original docs that should b...

Re: PR Renunciation and CPF Withdrawal

Hi all, I used to work in Singapore for over 7 years but have not been living in Singapore for the past 2 years. I still have a valid reentry permit with my PR but I am thinking to renounce it soon. I am not from West Malaysia so I am thinking to also make a full CPF withdrawal after. I have some q...

Re: Arrested in Singapore for swearing at police officers

you should seek a lawyer which is an ex-cop in the police force like a superintendent. I used to have one but for the life of me I can remember his name right now. It will definitely cushion the sentences meted out considerably if you get my drift

Re: Dual nationality, sticker to enter Singapore

Alvin It is not so much about the information that you wanted, it is the way you ask for it that gets us. Of course you will not get that Right of Entry information for ICA website, they 'update' their website based on current political landscape. I am the one that provide that info 15 years ago to ...

Re: National Service Singapore

Don't have to make any appointment. Talk to the ladies there. Inquire as much about your concerns. Even if you do know after your research here, listen as rules do change. Not much but it might pertain to your predicament

Re: National Service Singapore

What I would suggest which is the most economical way is to get one of your relatives in Singapore to come in person to the CMPB NS Registration Office. Talk to the supervisor in person not the front line clerks. You will get a detailed explanation on bond, banker's guarantees , medical checkup , th...

Re: Bank Account after renouncing SG-ship

You'll be right mate.

Just make sure you prepare all your necessary docs. The people at ICA are very helpful, not sure ask them to guide you

No major drama, just another day in the office

Re: Bank Account after renouncing SG-ship

From my experience, I had no problem with DBS and Citibank. Bear in mind , I had this done many years ago and rules may change. Once I had the CPF withdrawal approved from CPF, I showed them my POSB account to the CPF officer as POSB and DBS account remittance is done on the same day whereas other b...
