Agree with the above posts. Be careful and check your options (there aren't many). If I were in your shoes I would immediately forget about Genesis (principal-teacher issues in the past, serious ones, half of the staff left) and Integrated International (fresh, use "naturalistic ABA" aka one therapy...

Do you really think the heat is different in that particular place than in any other penthouses?

Going closer to the topic - heat is something I was expecting, the winds (especially during storms) is what came as a surprise. We have lost couple of things and have seen interesting swirls...

toddler tuxedo

Is there any place in Singapore where I can buy toddler tuxedo for boy younger than 2 years? I am looking for: - reasonable quality (so, Mustafa i a no-no ;) ) - light colour, not dark (hence, tuxedo's available in Paragon in Little Collette or something called like that( - and reasonable price i.e....

Sorry, I need to more precise. The one of top of IMM for instance has only fountain/splashing water. What I am looking for is a combination of waddling pool with slides and fountains. I guess my child is a picky one ;) Thank you for your suggestions, will check the ones I didn't know about (Science ...

Water play

Where else can I find water play area similar to the one available at the Zoo or Jurong Bird Park? I am not looking for place like for instance Wild Wild Wet (only water play), but a spot where the little one can enjoy water play and at the same time there are also other things to do.

Oh, come on, all of the articles written in such manner are way too generalizing. After all, marriage does not "fall apart" because of the place/because of Orchard Towers near by/because of..., but purely because of people.

Good that there is a change, but... restraints and booster seats do not give real protection. All the "good" car seats companies stopped to produce booster seats, as children should be placed in a proper car seat for the best protection. Anyway, good to see that things are changing the right directi...

Congrats!!! You could get two prams that allow to attach car seats, but then - you will never be able to travel with the kids by yourself. You will always need someone else around. Unless you are able to locate a twin pram that goes with car seats??? Car seats are not required in this country, so I ...

Cindy, honestly, if one of your major reasons to move here is your son's schooling... Think twice, please. I do not know any expat (without PR) attending Pathlight. I doubt, seriously doubt your son will be able to get there. As for Dover Court, you have to expect to get on the waitlist first, then ...

Latches for cupboards are also available in Home-Fix. However, I must say they are not the best ones. The glue leaves stains and some kids can easily spoil them, if they are strong enough.

Agree. That is why I am personally VERY happy the Allied Health Professions Act is coming into life. I hope it will lead towards more clear and structured system (like for instance in U.S., where it is not enough to complete the University, you have to work under supervision of a senior therapist an...

Why not? Because there is still shortage of therapists (occupational, physio, speech) in Singapore. Because so far there was close to none control over the professions. I mean, there were associations that give membership only to qualified professionals, but there was no act, no law actually that wa...

@Alan, I honestly doubt that physiotherapist trained in UK will have to go through any exam. The Allied Health Professions Act 2011 is to regulate the PT, OT, ST and so on professions in Singapore and to stop those people who do not have appropriate education to claim they are actually professionals...
