I don't think safety nets are available in Singapore, it is hard enough to find a safety fence.

I always thought that K2 was equivalent to Prep in Victoria, (where average age is 5 to start school, although you at least have the choice there). However the level of the curriculum etc is more K1 = Prep because they start reading etc earlier here and are expected to be able to read, write etc bef...

Except it isn't called Turquoise Room any more...but still great place, think it is called Verve now.

Edit: as for that other place...overpriced, and totally wanky (can I say that here because there simply isn't another word for it) and not worth it I say. Many other places much better.

You have to admit Ozchick that the bit of road you were on is not the best at the moment. It is hard enough when driving to stay in the correct lanes as the lanes are not wide enough and are only temporary around there, I'm not condoning them but its not a great place to cycle and maybe it was a gen...

Trailing spouse to me is not offensive either...and I am one. It all depends on how it is used. It is just a sort of literal title given to the partner of the person who is posted to wherever. I don't feel any less of a person if someone uses it when describing me. I can see how some people find it ...

If your child has mild ASD then you must work his earlier bed time into a routine, as I am sure it has become routine for him to stay up late. He should be getting at least 10 hours, preferably 11-12 if possible. It will be hard at first and the resistance is likely to be high, but if you stick with...

That's true RNT...but Sierraetc is right, there is a shop with a really good range about halfway down on the righthand side heading towards MRT in Chinatown. They have a pretty good range, but won't be the best price around town.

Hah, bah humbug to all of you! :P

I love the decorations here, not as nice this year as last, but still pretty stunning, they have ads on them? Never noticed... :D I love Orchard Road at this time of the year, walked down in the other night just for fun.

Jingle bells, jingle bells...

Don't bring the bottles (they probably won't let you anyway) just bring the barbie...the gas here is sold in bottles already here, you don't refill etc. Ya know, I would have thought that, too... but I attended a party last weekend where the host was using a US style gas bottle... no idea how it go...
