Re: Help needed on MOM rejection for me to marry foriegner

Thanks for the respond. Is there anything we can do? Because I wasn't aware of that. Any advise on what step we should do for me to visit my husband again. Being in a long distance relationship is not easy and mostly didnt work out. Not knowing the law is never an acceptable excuse but try to appea...

Re: LOI Annex not executed, affecting move in conditions

Miss M, I got your PM, but for the benefit of other people with similar problems in future, please respond within this thread. If as you wrote, the list is a part (annex) to your TA, and it is clear that this belongs to TA then the LL is legally obliged to fix the listed issues. You can enforce it i...

Re: LOI Annex not executed, affecting move in conditions

Hi there. I've listed out a bunch of things to be done up before moving in. TA is signed and move in date is this weekend. Lease is 2 years. Early termination is 12 + 2. Seems like LL is reluctant to complete all of the things mentioned in the LOI upon handover and blamed it on misleading informati...

Re: Citizenship application status still pending

Inclined to agree with you there actually. But then again, according to the government, PR is a step towards SC. If they aren’t going to give SC to a PR who was given that in 2008-2009, why do they still continue to renew their PRs? Also, just curious, but what would you think of my case? 2nd gen P...

Re: Procedure to apply Singapore PR ?

Hi, I would like to know the procedure to apply for Singapore PR. Could anyone please help me out. Thanks. It doesn't really matter what is the procedure as long as you mention you are graduated from a reputed university (mentioning reputed is the key), doing some volunteering community work, ownin...

Blaming mummy and daddy - fine, but being educated as a lawyer and missing the whole NS issue, this is something extremely difficult to believe.

Re: Challenge of Voltage/Digital standards differences between USA and Singapore

Thanks SE. ~120W self-freezing ice cream making machine. It's TEC (Peltier) based so no compressor/electric motor except perhaps a cooling fan to remove the heat. Nb. I don't understand why this one: https://sg.rs-online.com/web/p/safety-site-transformers/1226711/ is so cheap. It's rated 2k2W and it...

Re: Challenge of Voltage/Digital standards differences between USA and Singapore

I am thinking of buying an isolation transformer but looking for a cheaper alternatives to what PNGMK recommended earlier. I found this one which seems the right thing (except for no stock and I see no drawing) but would appreciate your opinion: https://sg.rs-online.com/web/p/safety-site-transforme...

Re: Looking for work - but why Singapore?

We both have significant Project Management Experience in the UK Automotive industry. Not really any significant car manufacturing in Singapore but I believe some industry for the parts supply (i.e. automotive electronic components) is still around. I would check out some names like for example Del...

Suicide is a selfish act. It's also an act where the person assumes they wholly own their body. They don't - so many people have contributed to them over their life. It's not their life to take. I am fairly sure the folk don't commit suicide for fun. The folks who "contributed" are probab...

Re: Apply For EP As Director or Employee?

Perhaps you should also consider MLI. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multilateral_Convention_to_Implement_Tax_Treaty_Related_Measures_to_Prevent_Base_Erosion_and_Profit_Shifting NZ already ratified it. Singapore not yet, but is the part of the treaty so this is going to happen sooner or later. As far...
