Re: Counter claim by Landlord and Agent

[..] my contention is on the fact that the agent has added couple of defects after the handover was completed, are not mentioned in the agreed handover list and these new defect pics have timestamp after I left the place. Be careful with this. It's a common misconception that you can not be held re...

Re: local community covid cases

Actually on the MOH website in the situation reports they have the numbers lumped together so not possible to analyze this sort of details, or is there some other place?

Re: Wet weather for June

I love it. I greatly miss the regular seasons in Singapore. This is probably the closest I can get. Less for the lower temperature but cooler, still better with fresher air etc.

Of course, I love it if I don't need to ride my bike when it rains but normally not so difficult to avoid.

local community covid cases

Statistically, there seems more daily local community infections in work pass holders than SCs/SPRs. There seems to be also less SCs than PRs. I am referring to the data gov reports every day (e.g. via whatsup). Interestingly, practically no LTVP and such - there was one case or so within last 1-2 w...

Re: How's day 1 of opening the local economy?

I relied on online shopping long before the covid so can not comment on the malls but I clearly noticed a tremendous boost in No of, pardonne moi, idiots, on the roads. It was always bad, but now many people who stayed away from driving for 2 months are back on the roads swarming and surely this bre...

Re: HELP

Hi Fellow Forumers! I'm seeking advice on how to claim back my initial deposit to the owner of HDB. During Circuit Breaker i spoke with the owner of HDB regarding my interest on her room for rent. I did transferred my deposit right away on her account. Due to my personal reason and unpleassant expe...

Re: Data logged by govt or individual companies?

One more thing to consider: It is not like using this safe entry and other stuff you actually lose any extra privacy. You just make the data available more efficiently or more easily. For the purpose it serves I think it is acceptable. I just hope the tools are truly useful & not merely a bureaucra...

Re: PR APPROVAL CHANCES 2020 PAYEL

A 34 yo male marrying a SC 50 yo female, I think this may be the main issue. In a Western society this would make the eyebrows raised, in Singapore, I would expect to be seen as the marriage of convenience even after 5 years. OP also didn't mention any children and for the above scenario even if ICA...

Re: When do you think we can stop wearing masks?

This analogy to homicides is actually less absurd that it may seem at first (e.g. the No of fatalities resulting from flaunting the rules is the same order of magnitude, just the connection is less obvious and it is not premeditated), but perhaps better analogy would be drink driving. Small fraction...

Re: When do you think we can stop wearing masks?

A few people in a what few thousand people hdb block. I would still call it a small fraction, would it reach You would need to relate it to some average of the fraction outside the estate at some given time period and perhaps during normal situation as well, not to the whole population living there...

Re: Working from home decreasing or increasing productivity?

A diarrhea can get him fired, unless he works it out outside office hours. But I know some bosses who are good candidates to purchase such software and this sort of bosses are linked to the working culture where people spend long hours at work pretending they work but doing de facto nothing. The fun...

Re: Cats allowed to roam around estates?

I do not quite understand why home cats are allowed to roam around estates and enter other people's homes? It's quite annoying with your neighbour's cat enters your home uninvited. What could we do? How do you know they are home cats? If they really are, and this is a condo, report the issue to the...
