Re: How to link child account to my PayNow?

Perhaps they like to live in India dangerously? Or more likely, sell a new application or redirect potential victims to same suspicious webpages.

Re: Internet provider in Singapore.

Any telco company you would recommend? Not really. I have experience with Singtel and Starhub only. Starhub, once I talked to a competent technical support. It was a refreshing experience :) But if you mean mesh, it has nothing to do with the Internet providers. I am using ubiquiti unifi equipment ...

Re: Do you miss flying?

I don't miss flying as of marinating my ass off in the undersized seats for 2-12h, but I miss the buzz surrounding them, takings off, landings, Changi and some other airports, sipping wine or beer while waiting for the flight... I don't fly often for business so the flight means for me holidays or f...

Re: Buying from Taobao

I only have experience with Taobao via Lazada and only back few years ago - the most unreliable bunch of sellers with the orders often cancelled long time after purchasing. Aliexepress on the other hand, mostly positive experience with reasonable dispute handling and shipment/delivery often quicker ...

Re: Do you miss flying?

I love road trips as well. Malaysia is the only option for road trips from here. My favorite is to Kuantan, which takes a good 6 hours, but worth the drive. The ocean facing rooms at the Hyatt there are a rare find in Asia where chalet style resorts are overwhelmingly preferred for some reason - I’...

Re: Aircon Usage - Utility Bills - Best Practices

Thanks PPF! Very interesting...Is it retail that dominant that the prices tend to pick up strongly only after 12-14 o'clock? But then on Sundays there is hardly any peak. Or majority of the business starts their working days only after 11? I am in manufacturing and we start around 9, but manufacturi...

Re: Aircon Usage - Utility Bills - Best Practices

Lol, some 4 year old thread coming alive due to some bot posting gibberish abt their a/c servicing co. Anyway in all seriousness, do check out SP wholesale rates. Average for this year has been cheaper than all the other electricity providers. https://community.whatcard.sg/t/how-you-could-save-mone...

Re: Does PR need a valid passport to stay in Singapore?

I have yet to find the citation within the Singapore Statutes but I am almost certain that you are required to maintain a valid foreign passport as a PR. The reason? You are a guest of the Singapore government, and at any time, they are free to revoke whatever status you have and terminate your sta...

Oh boy, this does sound challenging now.....
If you like to have some further reality check, I would suggest posting some info on your education and work experience. Same for your wife if she intends to find here a job.

Re: Internet provider in Singapore.

Yes. Great coverage. I have been using it since 2017. Speed wise, good enough for streaming. But you won’t hit the 1gbs type of speeds with this. Speed test, around 150-200mbs mark. Hi, interesting points. Does connectivity gets slowed down/fluctuate from time to time? I am seriously contemplating ...

Re: I am REDUNDANT from 31 December. How do I STAY IN SINGAPORE longer than 30 days after EP expiry, for JOB SEARCH.

If he looks for a local job, for whatever reason, I would think he had much better chance to secure one living in Singapore than half of the globe away. This might have changed due to the Covid restrictions and more widely adopted TC as a routine for job interviews but ultimately hiring someone for ...

Re: Tenancy agreements/leases and your rights as a tenant

Hi all, I just moved to Singapore this December and I found a place to rent after a good deal of searching. The agent seems legit (registered with CEA) and everything seems fine, but then I came across this clause, stating that on suspicion of breach of agreement the landlord and his representative...

Re: Former Second Gen SPR, Now Applying for EP - Huge Delays?

Do you think I could appeal as a special case, given I only had PR for a brief period when I was 10? My mother didn't know to apply for an REP for me. If it is at least clearly not my fault, is there a chance I can succeed? I don't really think your case is any special. Must be literarly hundreds s...
