Re: Huber's butchery

A friend recommended that I try Huber's butchery for meats, had been getting from redmart and cold storage, how are Huber's prices compared to say..redmart or cold storage? MUCH to much much higher (depending on what you buy from Redmart), but the quality is usually better to much better too. Just ...

Re: Maid moving to Russia...

Hi nutnut, I know this post is a little dated but I hope you can share your experience. My domestic helper, whom we love dearly, has recently informed us about her “cousin” offering her a job in Russia that pays the equivalent of about Sgd1300. This sounds like a great career move. However, I’ve be...

Re: Nespresso capsules

Eg. Lazada/Redmart. What's wrong with the Nespresso site? They charge a $10.70 delivery fee for orders less than $70.00. Was planning to get less than $70. On the side note, am wondering if we could use other brand of capsules? I found the original Nespresso much better (aroma/taste) to the other b...

Re: Sugar in drinks

How do we gauge how many teaspoons of sugar are there in our favourite drinks? For me, it's ice blended coffee and mocha drinks from Starbucks and Coffee Bean. :o They are pretty much standardized so if they don't know at the counter I would just send an email to the company... or perhaps they migh...

Re: Car Rental Agreement

I think he is not lying. There are some terms that could be considered illegal/unfair contractual terms, this especially if there is a consumer involved as a party. In general such terms should be reasonable. Paying that much for nothing is not reasonable. This is also the reason no LL in case of ve...

Re: Organic food

Basically, I think just eat more fruits, vegetable & drink plenty of plain water is the most important. HA! Why "more" if you have no data on the current intake? :) No, I would say, if you can afford it (or better say, if you are filthy rich) and you are happy with spending your money on such food ...

Re: Organic food

Organic foods may have higher nutritional value than conventional food. But I guess, eating non-organic food are fine, but importantly just eat more fruits & vegetable. I don't think they have any higher nutrition value over mass, industrially grown/farmed food and I don't think something like this...

Wahhh. Sounds legit. But I am not expecting a loading pistol coming out from a young 24 man. My goodness. He gonna get a heavy sentence. I guess?
ST article says this was a joint operation of SPF and CNB. 5-10y possible bracket if convicted for the firearms.

So based on condition and lower mileage should be considered a safe bet?
...and some would also say, No of previous owners. But again, it doesn't necessarily mean anything wrong with the car.

Re: COE Cars

What are the pros and cons of getting a COE car? Pros - cheaper? Cons - more repairs? Not necessarily. 10yo could be still a good car. Many people buy COE cars. For me, I wouldn't mind purely based on the age, but just dealing with the sellers, all sort of ..well... imaginable every year or shorter...

Re: How to lose weight?

I have a old saying I coined when I lost 26 kg 11 year ago. A search of the archives here will turn up heaps of info while I was going through the process (I lost 26 kg in 22 weeks). Nothing tastes as good as thin feels! =D> =D> =D> WOW how did you managed to lost 26kg in 22 weeks? That's amazing! ...
