Re: Special needs children in Singapore

My family is considering moving to Hong Kong or Singapore for work reasons but I have a 3.5year old son with Autism. We also suspect he may also have ADHD (we were told to reassess after he's of school age). My son does not have a severe case but I am very nervous about school placement as well as ...

Re: Dishonesty: Please help

In April, my partner found a phone left behind by someone. Immediately he chased after the man but he lost sight of him. He even returned to the same spot for quite a while to see if anyone was looking panic or anxious. As it was late, he brought home the phone intending to return to npp soon. But ...

Re: House rental issues

Firstly, your main potential concern would be if your TA missed a clause saying that the sell is subject to this TA and the LL has rights to terminate the TA because of the sell. If the clause is there you can live in the apartment for the rest of the TA term. Secondly, set the visits the way they ...

Re: House rental issues

Hi. This is what my TA says "To permit persons with authority from the Landlord at all reasonable times by prior appointment to enter and view the Premises whenever the Landlord wants to sell the Premises." My concern here is only why dont they inform me earlier about this and i would hav...

Re: Shop theft for 3rd time

I am under the impression the situation for the cash cards theft improved over last decade. I lost a number of them taken from my motorbike but not in recent years. But perhaps my parking areas changed. I no longer frequent SLS and such.

Re: Tenancy agreements/leases and your rights as a tenant

I was hoping to see the word "inclusive". The problem is such phrasing is ambiguous, but you can always argue that 2 years is 2x365 days (2017 was a leap year but you started in May :D ) so it should be 31st May inclusive. As of the "usual practice" this is indeed BS in that sens...

Can you please quote from your TA how exactly this is phrased?

Re: Tread for broken hearts

I recently moved to Singapore due to work. I moved from Den/ver where I had a girlf/riend. During the first 2 months while I lived here, we had rel/ationships at a di/\stance and it seemed to me that everything was fine, since a long sepa\ration will surely cause a flash of fe/elings between us whe...

Re: Where to buy rockwool/stonewool/any other sound absorption material?

Zillions of places around. Enough to google and call them. Well I don't need zillions, just one would work for me. The reason I made this post in the first place is because I did just what you suggest and I couldn't find any. I tried SunHee Hardware Paint & Electrical, Horme Hardware, HardwareO...

Re: Where to buy rockwool/stonewool/any other sound absorption material?

Hi, I'm looking for rockwool or stonewool, or any of the stuff that is usually used to insulate and soundproof an interior room. That's no surprise given the climate here, rockwool seems to be impossible to find (at least at the hardware sores I've been to). Zillions of places around. Enough to goo...

Re: End of rental

The only question mark for me is about the stove. Looks like you missed something you were aware of and also did not inform the LL about the damages (cracks)? What sort of cracks? For the whole rest it's IMHO just to milk you and make you pay to renovate the unit so they can save the money with the ...

Re: NEED ONWARD TICKET (SINGAPORE)?

I regularly get questioned (and have to show my NRIC) on the way back to Singapore (return tickets from SG) despite holding a 90 days, no visa required passport.
