Re: RE: Re: Skype alternatives and overseas communications

the popular whatsapp app soon releasing video calls ... goodbye skype ? I doubt it but I curse the day MS bought Skype and so royally screwed up the signup process and the mobile apps. Whatsapp don't do cross-platform as smoothly as the others as it relies on end-to-end connections*, the other end ...

Re: Odds for PR

SG's eyes are all on India right now as future potential where funds are pouring in. This is good. But I would wait for your husband to prove himself. That way, in the achievements box in the application form, he can boast about how he's established a local oil and gas team here despite market cond...

Re: My 2 cents on Universal Studios Singapore

Christ on a stick.... and I'm a Christian. What an ass. So let's imagine what pissed him off at USS.... 1. He's very short and wasn't allowed on half the rides? 2. He had just enough money for a ticket and went in expecting everything inside to be free? 3. He bought a ticket at a special price for ...

Re: T-plates for Singaporean drivers in Malatisa? NZ did it!

Kind of amazing when you consider they all drive on the same side of the road. When I was in NZ, the guy at the car rental company said, "Well, you're an American but at least you've been driving on the correct side of the road for years in Singapore. Americans have a lot of wrecks here."...

Regarding you second point, yes, obviously every country has its core population with its own culture etc. But let's be honest, Japan will top them. If you live here for a couple of years, on your expat package, it's all bright and beautiful. If you are local, and your stay here comes to 7 years yo...

That's funny. You must have crappy new low-energy bulbs because from anecdotal evidence, they do last longer for one thing. And you can get one of those new bulbs in warm white which is a nice, warm glow, like incandescents. I always get them in warm white. I don’t know if you can buy ‘crappy’ ones...

How to undo a blurred-out section? You hold left CTRL*+right ALT+SysRq+Fn F11 as you middle click the "enhance" button. *on Macs, use command instead of CTRL and 7-finger swipe/pinch on the touchpad instead of middle click. Spank the man! Not a good way to close a service ticket. "Gr...

The last time I remember going to a dentist was when I was like 6 yrs old and had my first milk tooth to be removed. Lol. I know there are several issues with my teeth, at least 4 root canals and 1 impacted wisdom tooth. Sent from my Redmi Note 2 using Tapatalk That's not how time works. ;)

Here's just one other example: tungsten filament incandescent lightbulbs are illegal to sell. It doesn't matter that for many older people they're the only bulbs that produce good light to read by. Now we all have to buy low-energy bulbs... to help save the planet they say, we're not given that cho...
