BED SIZES - PLEASE ADVISE

Hello. We are moving to Singapore from the UK in the new year. Can someone please advise on bed sizes as we are aware that beds over there are quite a bit smaller. (My wife and I are both six feet tall.) Are larger beds available there or should we freight one from the UK? Thanks in advance... GINGE...

CONTENTS INSURANCE

Can someone please recommend a good insurer for contents insurance? When I say a 'good insurer', I mean one that will pay out with little hassle if you need to claim. Thanks in advance for your help. GINGE.

LEATHER FURNITURE

Hello. We are looking to bring leather furniture to Singapore. Does anyone have any experience with leather furniture in a humid climate? We have been told that it can get 'sticky' and therefore uncomfortable to sit on, depending on the quality of leather. The furniture we have is good quality Itali...

TRANSPORTING CHILD BY TAXI

Hello. We are moving to Singapore next year with our one year old son. We are not planning to buy a car and wish to use taxis as our main transport. Big waist size

Hello
Can anyone suggest stores that sell chinos or cotton trousers with waist sizes of 38'' to 40''? I want Ralph Lauren type or Gap, not fussed, just want to know where I can find them, or stock up before I leave the UK.
Thanks.

Damp/Mildew

Hello I am moving to Singapore from the UK and have been advised not to bring hanging art or books because of the risk of damage from damp from the high humidity. The obvious way around this is to run air-con 24 hours a day, which I don't want to do - don't want to live and work in air-con condition...
