i will disagree with you there especially as an early good educator. parents should capitalize on their child's natural interests and expose them to new things. my son loves sports! he does socatots and has a blast!

i am sorry you feel that way, but to each their own!

Hm, interesting comment posted.

Wondering how would it hurt them by letting them throw around balls and beanbags, letting them explore tennis raquets and working on their listening and coordination skills? Letting them run around and get familiar with a court? sounds all fun to me![/quote]

Tennis for 18 - 24/25 month year olds?

Hi, Would anyone who has a child between 18 - 24/25 months be interested in starting up a group for tennis classes at the Pines on Stevens Road? They currently do not have classes for that age group there, but said if we got together a group of children around the same age, they could implement one....

Family Digital Photo Holiday Cards

Does anyone know any local (i.e. based in Singapore) stationary companies who do digital photo holiday cards? I know Snapfish.com has them, but am looking for somewhere based here. I found one in the Wheelock, but they are extremely expensive as they only do Cranes and engraved cards. Any thoughts? ...

Preschool Feedback: Tanglin, Eton, Stamford and SAS

We are thinking of pre-schools now. Wondering what people's experiences are with Tanglin Trust, Eton (Orchard Blvd), Stamford American and SAS. Ideally we would like SAS, but it's quite far away from us and my son will be so young going there by himself. We are looking for a nurturing atmosphere, no...

We got ours while in Hong Kong, but the website might also ship to Singapore. It's a Macau based website:

Any moms interested in starting a wkly playgroup? We've just moved from Hong Kong so would love to make some new friends! I have 21 month year old son and would love to meet moms with similar aged children. We live in the upper Orchard area - near Tanglin Mall.

Let me know if interested!

I just posted a similar post and our son is 21 months year old. We have a helper, but she's back in the Philippines on vacation so we are looking for someone to babysit over the weekend for the F1 races. The below were recommended to me: A-Team Amahs & Cleaners: www.a-team.com.sg ($28 SGD/hour, min ...

we just moved from HK to Singapore. are you staying in Central? Try the Conrad as it's more child-friendly with an outdoor swimming pool and is attached to Pacific Place. There's also the Four Seasons which has an amazing pool. The Mandarin's pool is very tiny and indoors - suites are separated real...

How about Disneyland in Hong Kong? We were just there with our 20 month year old this August. He loved it despite the heat, but the weather should be perfect there in December - nice and cool. Stay at the resort - it's wonderful for all ages!
