Nothing you can do as it's the owner's house and you agreed to vacate early. Agree with PNGMK.
But it's good to leave such landlord, since he/she is just not being honest. I find it hard to deal with dishonest creeps.

Anyone has been to Batam for a day trip for food and foot massages? My friend was telling me the food is cheap and foot massages are like $17 an hour. Sounds very tempting for a day visit.

It would be ideal for you to call your electrician to fix it then have the owner to reimburse you. Only concern is - will he/she refund you..Is there an agent in your transaction you can speak to?

wow..have to really check the expiry dates now and mark the calendars. Same goes for local passports, don't seem to issue notification letters for renewal anymore.

It sure does feels like an invasion of your privacy. I think the owner wants to check and ensure tenant does not bring in anyone, hence the camera?
