Re: Struggling to find a new home

Think the problem is the budget. If you stretch out more the choices should be better and more. And with this budget it would be rather impossible to get a whole house.

Re: Any good online bakery or patisserie to recommend?

There a few:

1. Swensens - if you're into ice cream cakes
2. Prima Deli
3. Jacks Place
4. Tarte by Cheryl Koh (high end and really lovely cakes).

Re: Temporary daycare for infant

From what I know most childcare centres only take in for the long term. Perhaps you can discuss if you could use the 'trial' some childcare may offer for period of 2 weeks +. I know some childcares do have trial periods (before they sign up). Not sure if the schools allow that, but worth asking..?

Re: Living on Sentosa

I visited Sentosa Cove for the first time last night. All very nice but looked like a white enclave and, expectedly, prices are high. Not a taxi or Grab to be found so it was the shuttle bus but it didn't except my ez-link or cash. Fortunately another passenger used her card to pay the $2 fee. Won'...

Re: Living on Sentosa

i have a friend who stays there, basically lives in a bubble and never tries to interact with the locals. im not a fan. That sounds pretty anti-social... :( he's social, just not to singaporeans. basically the kind of expat that gives us a bad name. Oh I see. And I also do understand Sentosa homeow...

Re: Enbloc potential properties

It's not easy and it's not about age oddly enough. It's a factor of GFA, plot ratio, the area the place is in and what the PPR is likely to be for when you buy and what an enbloc might raise. A lot of analysis is needed and that doesn't include the emotive factor that comes in in order to to get 80...

Enbloc potential properties

How do you spot potential enbloc properties? Freehold? Really old?

With the increase in ABSD, it seems like developers are going slow and pickier in the buying process.

Re: Receiving telemarketing calls everyday

I noticed my incoming normal local calls do not have + sign. Whenever it has the +65 with it, it is a scammer call ie: DHL automated message sorts.

Re: MUST visit places in Singapore

I personally like these places: West Coast Park (less crowded than east Coast Park), Botanic Gardens, Sentosa Island Palawan Beach and Little India/Chinatown for the cultural experience.

How about heading to a cable car ride, Ferris wheel or a short cruise?

Re: Living on Sentosa

Are residents still charged for using the shuttle bus services? Understand some time ago there was a petition on the bus fee as residents were already paying quite a lot for maintenance fees.

I wonder if residents find it inconvenient to take 2 shuttle buses to get to Vivocity?
