Hi macaroonie... I hear ya! It can be quite frustrating. I once had a colleague who was very rude in both verbal and emails. It was offensive rude. But this person did not realize the way she said things were rude. To her, she was merely stating the facts. I don't think you have overly high expectat...

I have bought from http://www.nycbagelfactory.com/ by the dozen and they're not too bad. They deliver too.

Else, you could also get bagels from cold storage or Fair Price Finest.

Tip on Rubbing alcohol, we've found in Mustafa $5.50 for a 500ml, compared to $4.70 for a 150ml at Watson. Bring Nyquil if you use it. Good walking shoe or sandal. If you're bringing any water filter (pitcher type), do bring also the replacement filters. Ours is a Pur brand one, and I can't seem to ...

Someone was saying there are many Bahasa Indonesia speakers here in Singapore, that I agree. However, to be able to train well in the language is another issue. Just like, many people know how to speak English. But not everyone can train well in the English language. Hence, if OP is very good in tra...

I.e. if you are able to train very well in Bahasa Indonesia, then it's valuable.

Many people may know how to speak the language, but not everyone can train well. I.e. be sure there is learning, transfer of learnign to the workplace, evaluation, etc.

Even if you didn't get the S-Pass this time, please move on.

Just my opinion, $1800 trainer job with Bahasa Indonesia skill is a little low. You may check how much more that's worth. But again, that's just my opinion.

I happen to know some VERY NICE African American friends. In fact, I have good friends of various skin colors. In this age and time, it is just becoming very common for that to happen. Tolerance? Now, this attempted havoc the PITA is making here is what we need to tolerate? I join in the ZZZZZZzzzzz...

Oh there's been another party while I was busy doing work. Or, busy appearing to do work. To the PITA, apparently you've landed yourself in a huge pool of foreigners. Have you abandoned your ship to join our boat? Or are you declaring war? If it's the latter, please don't bother. We all have intelli...

If he loves you, he will not hesitate to let you know. I.e. you wouldn't have to guess.

Since you're guessing now, why not wait it out and see what he has in mind? If there's no progress, I say forget about him.

Quite similar from the above. 1. Show up daily and look busy when need to. 2. Listen to music and water my plants. 3. Start doing the work two hours before the meeting or before it's due. (This one hasn't changed since school days). 4. Have lunch with different group of colleagues everyday to catch ...

All kinds of response outcome happen at the ICA these days. Buying an onward ticket to somewhere is a good idea. Preferably not more than one month from tomorrow. You can still buy it online today. Airasia, Tigerairways, Jetstar, etc. Disclaimer: No guarantee it will solve your no return-ticket issu...

Try the coffee machine in Saizeriya (Liang Court 2nd or 3rd floor; or City Square Mall B2). Note there are two coffee machines there, one is all Nescafe stuff, the other is the good stuff. Not sure what brand coffee they use, but I really like it. It is less than $3 and free flow. But of course, you...

Oh no JB please especially if you work in Woodlands... it may just be 'so near yet so far' due to the immigration checkpoints and crowd.

As for expat community in Johor, they are probably at Ledang side (Tuas checkpoint), but I guess they are mostly families.

If you have a Phd too you may get 70k annual. Nevertheless, don't let that stop you from pursuing your passion. :)

I guess even if you don't get 70k, life can still go on happily with a few adjustments.

I love to look and buy household items as these are seldom on sale at regular times. And also other 'need' items such as undergarments, casual plain color t-shirts, etc. As for clothes, I find it not so enjoyable when the store is crowded and there's a queue for the fitting room. The thing with Sing...
