Shipping packages to the US

Any recommendation for a company that ships packages to the US?
I'm looking for something cheap, as my move back will not be covered by my employer ;-)

Thank you.

Re: Company CPF Contribution for Non PR Foreigner

My company has a pension plan for foreigners which kind of makes up for the fact that you cannot participate in CPF.
I'm guessing only large MNCs do it.

or just ask MOM to cancel the PEP. In order to do this you need to send a letter explaining why and it takes about 1 week. I don't know how this will impact any future applications for PEP

You can get PEP only once.

You don't pay CPF on a employment pass regardless of the type of the employment pass.
After you get your PEP you will have to cancel your current EP, so the employer will know. Also, the company has to send a notification when they employ a PEP holder.

Re: Can PR be obtained if a person is on PEP

I was in similar situation, my friend submitted the application for me, as far as I remember it took MoM 4 days to approve it.

SMS is making a valid point. PEP is given only once.
If they company can get you a P1 go for it, note that P1 and former P1 holders are eligible for PEP.

Re: Better to have PEP or EP? PR or expat status?

There are companies offer some kind of a "pension plan" to their foreign employees in lieu of CPF. Your contribution to such plan are taxable, so is company's match, so this increases your overall tax rate compared with PRs (which of course may not be a problem if the company contribution ...

Ok lah, but even the US with their paranoia about background checks never ask about details like that. Interesting.

If your SPR application is still under processing, please submit your new work pass togther with the Annex A (to b...

Re: Thanks...

Note that the PEP in principle approval letter is valid for 6 months, which kind of gives you a year to find a job (although you still need need the social visit pass to stay the 6 months before you collect it)
