Re: Beach Holiday (Singapore/Malaysia)

I just went to that Hibiscus Resort at Port Dickson. It is not completed yet. Basically there isn't any facilities there except for some restaurants. There are also nothing nearby. If you are just there to relax in the chalet, it is an excellent place as the chalets are spacious and comfortable. Oth...

Re: Has anyone tried fishing before?

My fishing setup is still sitting in one corner... anyway I come across this fishing school called My Fishing Frenzy Academy. Has anyone attended the course there before? My setup costs less than the beginner course though  :o http://www.mffa.com.sg/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return fa...

Re: Has anyone tried fishing before?

So many fish had died. I wonder how long will it take for the fish population to replenish in that area. Maybe I can try the southern part of Singapore, it does not seem to be affected over there. By the way, I just ordered a cheap fishing setup online. The algae boom should be over by the time my p...

Re: Has anyone tried fishing before?

Recently I saw a post on a fishing school teaching people to fish. That's how I started thinking about it.

Anyway if I join a charter boat, do they provide fishing equipment? If I need to buy, I worry that it will just become another item in my store room.

Has anyone tried fishing before?

When I say fishing, it means catching fish. Not fishing for babes, though that is already my interest

Anyway seriously, what do you all think of fishing? I'm considering trying it out.

Re: The Child In The Basement

perhaps the child find that the suffering in this basement is better than where she came from. Or maybe after the suffering, she will grow up to be a better person. it depends on your perspective of suffering.

Labrador Park Jetty

Labrador Park jetty has been closed for quite a while already. Does anyone know has it opened to public already? Or will it ever be opened again?

Re: Beach Holiday (Singapore/Malaysia)

If you are looking for something different, maybe you can try staying on board a kelong. It is a Malay traditional wooden house built on top of the sea.

Re: Training for Everest Base Camp Trek

It is advisable to buy insurance for trekking at this height so that it covers helicopter evacuation in case shit happens I been following a helicopter pilot's blog, where he is doing air evacuation from EBC, but back to KTM is still not much of A help I guess since KTM too is at altitude. Includin...

Thanks! I found it on ebay but only in USA. The shipping costs more than the item itself. I will try to look for it in other places first before getting it from the states.

Coleman ice box replacement parts

The hinges for my Coleman ice box are broken. Does anyone know where to get the replacement? I went to Giant supermarket where they sell lots of ice boxes but the parts are not sold there.

Re: Beach Holiday (Singapore/Malaysia)

I've been to Nongsa Point Marina Resort recently. It's a cosy place with nice beach and jetty. It is in Indonesia, Batam, but only about 45 mins ferry ride away. There's another resort beside it called Turi Beach resort. If I'm not wrong, they are under the same group. I like that place, suitable fo...

Re: Changi (town/area): What to do there?

There is a trail that links Changi Boardwalk to Changi beach. If you are into strolling in nature, you will enjoy it.

Re: Training for Everest Base Camp Trek

I trained at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve but I carried a very heavy backpack (about 28kg). The air is much denser here compared to EBC and the trekking time is around 5-7 hours a day. So I carried a heavier backpack to train to compensate for the air density and the amount of trekking time. But now t...
