The work you folks do is really appreciated, no one wants to break the law, it's just that with NS the law is not crystal clear and has lots of bobby traps. Example, you are expected to apply for an Exit Permit (EP) even though you have already left... an...

They were not concerned with getting a baby bonus, etc. from Singapore at all. Also, I am sure the father entered Singapore on his American p...

Birth Registration

jpatokal, I am not trying to BS anyone, just trying to assist people. Why does the kid have to be Singaporean if the parent does not want it? In December 2008 I accompanied a relative, (newborn boy's father American with and wife Singaporean), to the birth registration at KK Women's & Children's Hos...

I am not here to judge anybody, just learn from others experiences and share my own knowledge too. taxico, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us, not everybody has that kind of character, you were very lucky to have such parents. taxico, I am pleased you too are American for the following reason: Americanism has never been about race, color, creed, religion, place of birth or line of descent. While some may disagree, it has been about integrity, honesty and fair play. With that having been said, if anyone was to read my prev...

taxico, As an American, a former Singapore PR, and as a world citizen "I firmly believe those that risk their lives to make the world a better place deserve the respect and need the prayers especially from those of us that take no such risk at all." I brought my American born son, Singaporean wife, ...
