Do you think anyone have the balls to take some responsibility?

It seems taking accountability is not a big thing here.

Re: Arrested in Singapore for swearing at police officers

Where does one go to see any cops on a night out in Singapore, let alone abuse them!!

Maybe I am in the wrong places but I think i can count on the fingers of one hand the times I have seen police out and about in the drinking areas in Singapore.

Re: Jumbo HDB unit - do they have potential market?

Thank you all for the feedback.. We will reconsider selling the flat.. But we are also worried that the flat is 34 years old already.. should we sell it or will enbloc give good benefits? Nearby mansionettes are selling for around 950K whose sqft is almost the same as ours.. how much we could relat...

Re: An Interesting Take on Singapore Growth

There's no doubt we will see the immigration tap turned on again soon (if not already). Its gonna cost big dollars though to pay companies to come here to generate the number of jobs the Govt will need. How many "research" companies have already moved on after their tax free status and Go...

Re: PR Rejection

Do your particular skill sets truly differentiate and elevate you above locals/ regional talent? You may have to look deep inside and critically assess what you really bring to the table. The one skill that neither of them bring is the most important one , you are not malaysian chinese and and on a...

My profile is the following: - I applied together with my wife - I have been working in Singapore for 8 years while she has been here for 4 years - We are both early thirties - I a...

Re: Death of Buildings

I'm on the enbloc sales committee for our condo. It's extremely disheartening to listen to the potential sales agents pitches - they show dozens of pictures of buildings I remember well for the last 30 years and how they were sold and converted into 700 ft2 shoe boxes... I dont know why folk are su...

Re: Jumbo HDB unit - do they have potential market?

Hi all, currently we live in a Jumbo flat (Two 3R flats adjoined) which is 146 sqm. Less than 0.2 km (just outside Serangoon interchange), proximity to NEX mega mall, all shop houses, clinics, ATMS, Kopitiam & Food court at Level 1. We are confused whether to sell and upgrade to condo or retain...
