Re: Transfer now from OA to SA, you will earn additional interest of:

On the other hand, any PR who wants the low risk returns but has no intention of retiring here (i.e. will withdraw all of their CPF in the future) and doesn't buy property, shift as much as you can into the SA. Yes, that's me. Thanks all for the discussion above , I'm going all in as far as I am al...

Transfer now from OA to SA, you will earn additional interest of:

Hi Folks, We have received a letter from CPF for the annual statement odf account. In the letter they have highlighted the option to transfer funds from OA to SA, highlighting that OA currently offers 2.5% interest & SA offers 4% interest. This is quite attractive but I wanted to open a discussion o...

I got zero traction marketing it myself. The best I got was nosey neighbours with no intention of buying dropping in during our open houses to have a gawk. We used several agents in the end (open listing) & it sold to our satisfaction in 4 weeks. We agreed a 1percent the commission which is ok for us.

It might be worth a shot mentioning to the LL that you are handing over the matter to the company legal department on ddmmmyy if there is no resolution.

This may give them some focus.

Willow on Toh Tuck Road is quite good from experience.
I can't say they are the best as I have no other reference point of BB nurseries.

My $0.02. Fixing the window & replacing the aircon is being used as a lever whereas it's simply the LLs' duty. If the new kitchen is in contention maybe consider them coughing up for the kitchen & you cough up for the appliances (not built in). When the lease is up just take your appliance and go. I...

Well, inspite of closing the slot, yesterday I found large pamphlets, one from courts and one from BHG in the letter box. Surely there is no way they could have been slipped from the slot. My wife was actually telling me the Singpost lady who operates the master key and opens from the rear, also pu...

Re: Be a little bit more careful and perhaps discreet people

Something's up. I'm not paranoid but the hairs on the back of my neck are up. Be careful if you are a foreigner (white esp) for the next few days. Sorry but I can't say why. I'm restricting my families outings and avoiding crowded places and just being a little cautious. I don't know what the threa...

Thank x9200,

I reckon there are people out there with a corner full of flattened boxes just dying to get rid.
I als hear you on the people who rent but they're not going to work out for my needs.

Just moved to Singapore? I'm about to leave...seeking boxes.

Hi Folks, I am reaching out to newly arrived expats that have just unpacked & are settling in. After 10 gloriously sunny years we are moving on from the little red dot. We selling off our Barang & packing up. We are looking to contact any expats that just landed & have boxes lying around their place...

Perhaps the LL wants you to break the lease by making you miserable so he can keep your deposit & rent to another tenant at a higher price or perhaps I am very cynical.

@aloycious, there is no way to retain your REP /PR Status unless you pay tax here for the last three years of your five years REP and contributing to your CPF . Unless you have been on a company assignment overseas and your local company has stated this to that effect to ICA then only then your REP...

Yea, that's a real pity alright.

You've obviously moved on which is probably the right move.
Move on & forget about that episode...
