You sound a little bit frustrated Blued. Why is that? I am simply trying to apply some of your "logic" in countering your viewpoint.....and so it continues .... [Start of sarcasm]I am only "right" because you subject yourself tomy "rightness". You have not answered and ...

Re: Basal racism in Singapore

Call me gutless, but I would have refrained from chasing another man into a toilet. You don't know whether he was carrying a knife or box cutters. On a serious note, regardless of who is right, wrong, rude, racist, etc., Splatted has highlighted the need to be "safe" in whatever situation...

Re: Basal racism in Singapore

Asians are insensitive in general especially in public, it is a fact. However, there are some good points about being Asian and that we value our family and close ones more. Asians tend to hold onto ''guan xi'' more. You really don't get it, do you? My ego and pride will not allow me to "look ...

Re: Basal racism in Singapore

I know some Singaporeans in Australia who commented that some Aussies are racist, but they fail to note that it is the general Asian insensitivity that cause some Aussies to be nasty towards them. Example, most Asians dont really bother about strangers at the malls or train stations, most Asians us...

General question about "Spreadbetting"

I am not up-to-date with the gambling laws of SG, but I was just wondering whether spreadbetting using a UK-based account (such as IGIndex) was permitted whilst in SG. i.e. if on holiday in SG, one was to spreadbet FTSE, Dow, Oil, etc. At the end of the day, it is still gambling.

This is not correct. Blackjack is a complex game and very difficult to compute exact odds but for a single deck game, the closest one can get to 'winning' is almost 50-50 with the house. When one goes to multiple deck games and auto re-shuffle after each hand, the odds are definitely in favor of th...

This is not a rant about any particular system, at all. Indeed, you need a system to base your trading decisions on. My opinion is that there is no Holy Grail system of trading. There is only sound basic principles which should make profits in the long-term (whether it is technical analysis or funda...

Thank you for that weblink, SMS. It was quite interesting. It points out that hairloss is possible through excessive scratching, rather than because of the dandruff condition itself, such as fungus killing off cuticles, or weakening the skin. Studies have shown that with only 90 minutes of continuou...

I have never heard this correlation before. I am going to say, "NO", but that is purely a guess, and not backed up by any scientific data.

Where did you hear this from, anyway?

additional option

You could also try the Pimsleur courses. I have just started a Pimsleur course, and whilst no course is perfect, this is pretty easy to follow, and produces results. It is not like studying at all, just follow and practice. It will give you much more additional practice than just an hour class/meet-...

How Me Forgot This One... Haha, you are quite a funny guy. Just out of interest, perhaps you could tell us where you are from, and "How do they force you to learn about Singapore". If it is at school, then OF COURSE you have to learn about Singapore, if it is part of the curriculum. We ha...

I don't have any recommendations for specific classes. What I suggest is that you just walk around where you are staying (or work) and look out for "notices". By "notices", I mean flyers posted on Community Centre notice boards, "athletic association" HQ boards on old s...

Depends really on any other criteria that you have. If all you want to do is to get fit, then you do not need to do a martial art. Boxercise is pretty good, and "fun". If you want quick results for "fighting" prowess, then try Muay Thai. Most Muay Thai classes has excellent stand...

£100 million

The Euro Lottery jackpot is estimated to be £100 million for next Friday's draw. That is just a ridiculous amount of money.

Worth a go. If you did win, I don't think the SG Government would complain too much if you spent some of those millions in Singapore.
