flyawayfriday: Thank you for sharing. It's wonderful to read about people's surgery experiences and how they felt, the entire community is definitely grateful for that! I find it amazing that you are quite satisfied with how your nose looks like now, even with all that swelling. So, it must have bee...

Hello! I was kinda concerned that i might have extrusion in near future , but he reassure me that it only happen if i used bigger implants and unrealistic expectation. so.... he opt for a smaller implant , i think 1 to 2mm thick silicone. Any idea how common is extrusion ? 1 in 100 cases ? Despite ...

then you better look into getting a revision with autologous (rib/ear/septal) cartilage. Once you've had extrusion once with foreign implants, it's not advisable to use it again for a revision.

Hi all, wow Dr Kao seems to be getting very popular now. I was one of the first few that did rib cartilage nose with him 2yrs ago! Going bk for a review next week. Sidetrack abit. Anyone knows of good skin doctor/dermatologist in Taipei? Or any cosmetic surgeon that is good in skin surgery? Tks! Go...

exactly one year already? what are you not happy with about the nose shape right now, let me guess, the tip? dr hsu tends to do more bulbous looking tips from what i've seen off his website. So if what you want is a more defined, slim tip, maybe you should be looking at other docs like dr kao who do...

nothing personal man, don't take it so seriously. it's not about tw vs korea or anything. If anything, it's doc vs doc. I've seen enough cases here to know that many docs will say they can do everything for the patient and in the end the patient's not happy. Good to know that you found a doc you can...

Hi there cersepn, my friend told me his bridge is high already and doesn't wish to heighten it, so he only did alar and tip. If alar and tip was his main concern, why would the result be limited? :???: I mean, the doctor could just 'cut' more excess tissues from the side and the tip and put it sept...

dr hsu is just being honest. those korean docs you speak of who say they can do everything are not being entirely truthful. No point promising you the world but not being able to deliver in the end. it is a fact that the end result of any rhino is very dependent on what the original nose looked like...

just remember.. with a silicon implant alone (no natural cartilage used for tip work), the only thing preventing the implant from extruding out is the thickness of your nasal skin. I quote a medical journal on silicon nose jobs: "complications such as infection and displacement or extrusion of ...

Re: yo

And did your friend like what Dr Kao did for him/her? I am going revision with Dr Kao as well. Although the previous time was also done by Dr Kao himself. What is it about your nose now that you don't like? You're probably one of the few dr kao cases not happy with his original work, so it's intere...

it's been said here so many times already. If you wanna have PS done, be prepared to give people an answer if they ask you. If people don't notice a change, then the surgery is imo, a failure

Re: chin implant SCAR

hi, i cannot be 101% sure about this as i haven't done it myself. but i rmber reading somewhere that intr-oral incisions are more prone to infections due to the food we eat that might not be cleaned throroughly etc? Nope. The inside of the mouth has excellent healing powers. Anyway, if the food's '...

Re: chin implant SCAR

I don't know who does that but modern chin implants (even those jaw reduction stuff) are done with incisions from inside the gums? I'd seriously avoid docs who still practise outside incision for implants like that. Seconded. Jaw/chin work should ALWAYS be done intra oral (cut inside mouth). Chance...
