Don’t think you’ll find anything like singaporeexpats.com. Did you ot get any response from expat.com & qatarliving.com? They seem to have some activity, though limited. http://www.qatarliving.com/forum/working-qatar/posts/expatriate-working-guide-101-qatar-s-business-etiquettes-professional InterNa...

Re: Airbnb finished in Singapore for now???

Airbnb can still function in Singapore, especially for serviced apartments and resorts that are licensed for short term rentals.

The article also indicates that some newer residential sites may be allowed flexibility to cater to shorter term rentals. Airbnb is not finished in SG.

:( http://www.nbcnews.com/news/asian-america/hawaii-republican-leader-vocal-trump-opposition-ready-leave-gop-n716071 It is quite sad that politicians see being partisan more important than being a good citizen. Didn't James Madison warn us (i.e. in The Federalist Papers , #10) about the dangers of ...

Re: Decision on Purchasing House

RATM: I thought early retirement is the ultimate dream for anyone. Just like you think early retirement is underachieving. So it depends on what you want in life. There is absolutely no thumb rule to any thing. You are born once and you die once. In between there are a million ways to lead life and...

Re: Vaccinate or not to Vaccinate - that is the question

We were very concerned and apprehensive as we approached the appointment having done some research prior to the visit. Against our better judgement, being scared of what we've read about vaccines .... All those fears occurred due to a SINGLE fraudulent article (which all subsequent posts ultimately...

Am not a member, but have friends that are. Facilities seem nice. The gym looks pretty good - maybe a little too spacious. Dining was quite nice - Hungrygowhere has a good rating for The Dining Room. Have seen the pool on Sundays - not too many people; definitely not crowded. Prices for transfer mem...

Re: tenants able to park car in Condo?

I know of 3 condοs (West Coast area, south side and CBD) that allow only the resident to park.
This is controlled by IU registration and carpark label.

If the resident is a tenant, the landlord is treated as a visitor, and must park in the visitor lots when there.

Re: Moving Companies to US?

Has anyone used or heard of people using DHL or FedEx to move certain items? Such as 30kg containers of books, papers or clothes. I have heard that this could be a cheaper alternative to using one of the Big Five moving/shipping company for sea freight. If you're not in a rush to get the items, Sin...

If you're looking for home-cooked local food there's a local start-up doing something like this:
