There is a cadet scheme in the Cabin Crew Division where one need to fly for 2 years and go thru the 4 ranks, 6 months each. Yes, it does include. However, they don't really bother what your eye sight is. 500+, 1000+ they don't care. They only concern your eye sight AFTER you wear your CONTACT LENS. :) hope this ease your tension.

if i have diploma in hospitality under private sch (guilford school of hospitality from Australia) from what I know, SIA recognizes and accepts private diploma certificate. Best of luck!
