I like Healthland Thai Massage on Temple Street in Chinatown. No hanky panky! Prices are reasonable because it's not a spa (no fancy aroma candles or new age crystals either).

The worst thing about sandfly bites is that you don't feel them till a few hours later. So you accumulate multiple bites! If the beach is deserted, there is a good reason for it! Sandflies need blood to reproduce, and they lay eggs where there is fresh water around. They are quite ineffective at fly...

Kayaking in reservoirs for the public is available at Macritchie Reservoir near Toa Payoh, and at Seletar Reservoir near Yishun. The kayaking you see from the Benjamin Sheares Bridge is run by the People's Association at Kallang, I don't think they allow members of the public to use their equipment....

I think the poster meant Sentosa complex in johor (north of Singapore), not Sentosa island (south of Singapore). Just take an mrt to Khatib MRT, cross the road and take bus 170, clear immigration, then when you are in johor, take a taxi. Should cost you $6 ringgit to get to sentosa complex or holida...
