Hi Celt, Don't get me wrong. As mentioned in all of my posts, I say that if it is your dream or passion then go for it! But do so for the right reasons.... I see the cabin crew in action week in, week out, on a monthly basis and it is not an easy job. Petite stewardesses carrying luggage to put into...

Hi Aki, As to your question, I work in the Banking Industry. I disagree that there are few jobs that require travel since Singapore is a regional hub for most MNCs and companies. The First/Business class sections in most SQ flights are almost always packed on most of my flights. Why does SIA need to...

Re: Discrmination

I had experience before that they do not see on locals as guest to them only the expats are guest to them. We local are being treated very rudely. That's y noe I do not take SQ anymore. I think is enough for a one time experience. I don't think the SIA cabin crew treat the Foreigners better than the...

Hi Guest 2607, Akiheartfelt Personally, if you are a graduate, I think you really really need to sit down and have a long think about what is it that attracts you and why you want to be a cabin crew? (i) Is it the Pay? - If it is, then I disagree. Reading from posts in this forum, I understand that ...

Ferrin - Sorry to hear that. This is very unfortunate. Just to understand the process/logistics a bit better, do you not get a contract or letter of some sort once they told you that you have cleared the management interview? How does one get invited for the training then? It can't be by phone call...

that's some really interesting food for thought. thanks Stu. Aphrokittee - You're most welcomed. As applicants, you may not have that many opportunities to observe the SIA cabin crew. However, I see the SIA cabin crew in action week in/week out on flights. They are a bunch of down to earth people w...

The girls selected may not be the most prettiest, flawless skin or has the slim slim figure.. but that doesn't mean they don't have the qualitites to be cabin crew.. I did have the same thinking too, when i see t...

I think it is because it can be quite tiring. As mentioned previously, if after a long flight, I feel knackered/tired and all I have been doing is watching movies and taking naps in between meals and movies, then the cabin crew must be totally exhausted.... This is what so many members of the publi...

. But in the first place, how come there are still people attending the interview and yet get selected. But in the end, regret and resign. That's the airline world; some things are not as glamorous or as appealing when seen from the inside. I think it is because it can be quite tiring. As mentioned...
