Re: Spouse Visa / Salary Query

Lots of local accountants here so it may be a challenge unless your UK experience brings something different to the table. Your wife's salary range should be ok depending on lifestyle, unless your child is school age. Education is expensive and don't expect to find a local place, you are likely look...

Re: Re-entry to Singapore from UK

As far as I know, if travelling from the UK you can't yet isolate at home, it has to be a govt facility. And as a heads up, I know of someone who was in the same situation and returned a few weeks back. I don't know anything about his pre trip arrangements but on return he had to spend 14 days in a ...

and use a strong password. Better still, get a password manager and use generated passwords. Bitwarden is an example of a good manager and it's free.

A question for your insurance company I guess. As a matter of interest, your STVP does have your FIN on it, so perhaps the FIN is still active?

Re: Landlord Selling Unit After 1.5 Weeks Move In - What Are My Options?

Can I know how much did he pay/how many months rent did he compensate you? And roughly how much for moving cost? It's a little while ago and I don't recall the actual numbers. The lease only had about 6 months to run. Maybe a thousand or two for the inconvenience. Moving costs I based on what I pai...

Re: Landlord Selling Unit After 1.5 Weeks Move In - What Are My Options?

I have been in this situation. Important to read your TA closely, it usually says something along the lines of allowing reasonable access for viewing should the property be marketed. Also your TA should last the duration regardless of sale. The only exception is usually en-block sale but that would ...

-Leaving the country every 90 days to avoid VISA overstay. Generally visa runs won't work in the long term. The visa is for tourism and most tourists don't spend that long in Sg and don't return frequently. ICA will catch on pretty quickly and she may eventually be barred from returning. However th...

Re: PR Dilemma - Help needed

One of our biggest wish at the moment is to get a Citizenship and settle for good and grow the family, if possible. Now, Singapore citizenship process is a black box, it may happen in 3 years, 5 years or 20 years or never, but Australia provides a sure citizenship pathway and timeline. This sums it...

1. The pool of people is shrinking and may well continue to shrink for the foreseeable future. 2. The pool of new properties is growing and will continue to grow for the foreseeable future. 3. Yield-seekers with nowhere to go decide to plough their money into new properties. What could possibly go ...

Re: Redundancy - EP -> PEP activation, pros and cons, advice needed

STVP extension is not guaranteed and the requirements for such are now more restrictive. I wouldn't rely on that. Take up the PEP a few days before your pass expires. MOM and the like are struggling with the volumes at the moment. Don't get caught out by a process failure.
