Re: Coliving space with no minimum stay

Check out Lyf, they are a new arrival in the co-living scene in Sg. They may suit. Maybe pricey given their location, Funan.

Re: Advise marrying a work Permit holder

Yes he currently working here. I know must apply but if rejected to get marry here will he be barre ? There is a good possibility of him not being allowed to marry here or having to give up his Work Permit (lose his job). And then there is the possibility of not being able to get an LTVP. You may h...

Re: Removing page 2 on MS Word

Backspace should work. Go to the end of page 2 and then backspace. It will delete the invisible characters which are pushing you onto a new page. File/Options/Display and tick the "Show all formatting marks" box will allow you to see all the hidden characters. Makes them easier to delete. Untick to ...

Re: E-Scooters banned on footpath from 5 Nov 2019

I had to look this one up. It's only motorised PMDs, i.e. e-scooters, e-bikes and the like, which are banned. Kick scooters, bicycles and PMAs (mobility scooters) are still allowed on footpaths. Bicycles and e-bikes can obviously use the roads. Other countries that have enacted similar bans at least...

Only if it's enforced. Cycles used to be banned as well, but you wouldn't have known it.

Re: Credit Card Application

From what I remember, and it's a while ago now, if you have a letter from your employer that states your annual income, that will be enough. Along with your EP of course. I opened an account and had credit cards by lunchtime of the same day. That was Citibank.

Re: Parking Woes in condo

Not that I've seen. I've read of this sort of thing before, especially with motorcycles. When I moved into my current place it was conditional on the condo management providing a letter saying I could park two motorcycles.

Don't apply around holiday times, the usual 3-4 weeks can extend to several months. And tax residency makes no difference.

Re: Organic food

Organics won't hurt and if you don't mind paying the premium then great. Personally I ignore the organic section and just buy from the regular shelves.

Joeyy has the right idea, eat a variety of fruit and veggies, organic or not.

Use a VPN if you are going to download movies, then you don't need to worry about your ISP.

Re: Relocating with pets -Bris to Singapore

Two weeks is plenty of time to move in. Finding the right place is the challenge. It's a renters market so there is a lot on offer, but if you don't know Singapore it's very easy to end up in a place that turns out not to be as suitable as it first appeared. Do your research and narrow your options ...

I think the era of personal ownership of cars in Singapore for most is coming to an end.
