Start with the Adelphi Mall on Coleman St, it's a specialist hifi mall and covers mid to high end.

If you deny, you have no backup if you reinstall on a new phone.

That is what it's for. Have a look at Settings/Account/Viber Backup. It's explained and set there.

Re: NEED ONWARD TICKET (SINGAPORE)?

She must have given address or something though? I can't believe an airline would just allow someone to get on the plane one way without some paperwork or contact details for someone in that country. If that person is turned away at the destination then they are responsible for taking them back. Wh...

Re: NEED ONWARD TICKET (SINGAPORE)?

My daughter flew in on a British passport with no onward ticket and no issues. She left and entered Sg several times in a 7 week period before finally picking up a cheap flight to Europe.

I suspect a lot to do with nationality and maybe attitude/appearance.

Re: Hoping to emigrate but don't know where to start

TEFL isn't big here, Sg is an English speaking country. There are English tutorial centres, research their qualification requirements if you want to go that route. The hours can be pretty anti-social and the money isn't great.

Re: Need an apartment at Lakeside MRT to stay

Cheap option - depends what that means. Sg is not a cheap country, especially accommodation. If you are a tourist, short term accommodation in Sg is limited to hotels or serviced apartments, legally at least. If you have some form of longer term pass then there may be options but I believe rentals a...

Re: Moving to SG with PEP

Your understanding is correct. PEP or tourist pass? If you think you can find work within the 90 days (no guarantee you actually get 90 days - up to the guy on the counter) then go with a tourist pass. Don't know your situation but finding roles here can be difficult and time consuming if you don't ...

Re: Chewing gum for medicinal purposes - where to get?

I've never had a problem but it's never been on show and never a box.

A colleague brought quite a quantity through Changi and gave it to his wife to carry. She got stopped. Eventually she was released without penalty and without gum, but they gave her a grilling. He was on the sofa for a week.

Personally any excuse is enough for me to get out of Sg. Usually it's petrol, I throw in lunch and a bit of exploring and coincidentally pick up some gum for the wife.

Assuming you aren't moving often just put something like a sheet or large towel underneath and drag.
