True. But if revenge is your thing, he just got another 40 - 125 years on top of the 125 he already had. Don't think we will see much of him again. =D>

Re: Digital front door lock

I have a Yale. It uses a card and a keypad for backup. So far no issues with it. I like it. Having the keypad as a backup saved me once when I locked myself out without the card. Takes 4 AA batteries which I change every few months. You can also use a 9V for emergency power. Never tried that.

Re: Please Help: How to get visa in Singapore?

I understand that but we're not exactly ready for something like that just yet and we don't really think its right to just get married just for a visa. Gosh, common sense. It's amazing how rare that is, especially when it comes to visas, housing and the like. There is also a whole tutorial industry...

Re: Should we move to Singapore?

Cars, accommodation and alcohol are all more expensive. But other costs are higher in NZ, particularly utilities, public transport and food. The tax rate is significantly lower here, only if you aren't subject to NZ tax - look carefully at your tax liabilities, simply being a non-resident doesn't ex...

Look at the top of the page, there is a link to serviced apartments. That will help with ideas.

Re: Graduate/Entry level Banking & Finance jobs

Isn't there a move towards the contract model though? For cheap labour, yes, but only in Asia, contractors are highly paid in other business centres. It always used to be an IT thing but now looks to be quite common across business roles too. It's a short term cost saving measure that erodes knowle...

Re: Living at Reflections Keppel Bay - Help!

Hi! We wanted to finalize a unit at 23 Reflections @ Keppel Bay and wanted to know how far is Telok Blangah bus stop in terms of distance in meters. My agent mentioned that it takes just 5 mins of walk from the side gate. Can someone help if this is correct, please? Thanks much! "I commute to ...

Re: LEGOLAND at CNY

I once, foolishly, rode to KL on the Saturday of CNY. It was bedlam, from Tuas all the way to KL. The north south motorway was 4 lanes, cars were using the hard shoulder. Met someone who traveled by bus, took them 11 hours.

So I would think LegoLand would be very busy.

It certainly used to be, don't know about now, but your stamp indicates it probably is. Australians also used (still?) get 90 days as a matter of course.

What will it do for your career? Wired called it the most digitally advanced society in the world. Working in that type of environment might have long term benefits that trump an initial salary hit.

Re: Employment Pass Renewals - 2018

I'm aware of a company in the education sector who lost a number of people on renewal of SPass. Quota I guess. And too tight to push the salary to the next band. They now have to employ some locals to teach English. Understandably parents are pulling their kids. They prefer native English speakers.

Re: Employment Pass Renewals - 2018

My base salary is 8k and my EP just got renewed for 3 years. So I don't have to worry until 2021, provided I have my job. I think 8k is nothing these days. It is not even worth staying here if I don't get 8k. Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk 3 years? I get 2 years, so does everyone I know. ...
