Or be like me and delete your account and the app. This was a couple of years back, never once missed it.

Re: Masks rules in Singapore?

The key is the mask. If she wears that then she can wear anything on her face. Obviously the mask needs to be worn correctly.

Re: English Teach Abroad in Singapore--does this exist?

There are English tuition centres. Hours are pretty rubbish, evenings and weekends. These days you probably need a teaching certificate to have any chance of employment in that space.

Re: Safe entry Singapore?

My local supermarket scans my pass on the way in but there is nothing on the way out. I'm guessing records show I live in a supermarket.

Re: "Entry only if essential international travel" (Tourism is dead!)

Booking.com was showing no change in prices and flashing the usual "1 room left" message for Jakarta even though the whole city was shutdown. Haven't checked recently but PNGMK is right, don't trust the online sites. On a slightly positive note, SIA is restarting flights to NZ this week. Sounds like...

Re: Safe entry Singapore?

I know my local prata place has a Safe Entry QR code. Doesn't get used though. In fact East Coast Park has one too. Almost universally ignored.

I've seen mention of business travel first, with selected countries.

This is discourages one from going out, and only when necessary.
I suspect that is intentional. Same with wearing masks. Discourages people from going out. Less people out, less chance of Covid spreading.

Re: Working from home decreasing or increasing productivity?

We can see who is online and who is inactive. No key press for 5 minutes makes you inactive. It's a nuisance because it also locks your screen. Can get locked out if you are reading something or even on a call. For that reason I wrote a small program which keeps me active, even when I'm not.

Re: Is a visor deemed a face covering by law?

Yes. This is from an FAQ bot on gov.sg

"If you need to go out, any mask that covers the nose and mouth, including reusable face masks, DIY masks or plastic face shields, offer adequate basic protection when safe distancing and good personal hygiene can be observed."

For me, it's whatever the authorities impose.
Likewise. I have my doubts about the usefulness in many situations but I'm not going to argue the point.

Re: AirBnB, WeWork

Will people find working from home more cost efficient since it's been 2 months everyone's home and gotten used to it. Suits some. I prefer it. I have little regional responsibility so all my interactions are via email or conference. Don't need to go near the office. For AirBnB, could homeowner go ...

Re: When do you think we can stop wearing masks?

From 2 June my company is starting to phase back office working. One of the conditions is a mask at all times in an already social distanced environment. 10 hours at a desk wearing a mask. It just shows how out of touch the Sg authorities really are.

I'll be staying at home.
