Swimming Equipment...

Hi All,

My wife is soon starting swim lessons for kids, and we are looking for some equipment – specifically 1m x 3m floating rubber mats.

Any ideas of some local swim suppliers?

Thanks

Andy.

Why stay at a dull and boring place like Tanah Merah? There is no mall around A shocking comment, and a very Singaporean thing to say… Who says Malls are good??? Horrible places… I live in Eastwood, just 500 metres down from Tannah Merah, we have Bedok Camp Food Centre, Cold Storage, Shop and Save,...

It is not a tip. It is a 'service charge' for serving the food you bought and the employees never see any of it. Ask them. The restaurant collects GST on it and pays it to the gahmen. They must declare the service charge as revenue on their corporate income tax forms. I hate this – In Singapore are...

Life is just a series of peaks and troughs. And you don’t know whether you’re in a trough until you’re climbing out, or on a peak until you’re coming down. And that’s it you know, you never know what’s round the corner. But it’s all good. "If you want the rainbow, you’ve gotta put up with the ...

P.S.: I wouldn't bring dogs or other animals, as the import procedures are troublesome (quarantine!) and costly. I also doubt that a temperate-climate dog would like tropical conditions. 10 cents bet you’re not a dog owner… You can’t throw in a comment like that out the blue, they are family member...

Don’t worry, dogs love it here – it may need a wee haircut to be slightly cooler but my lab loves it when she has a trim. It will be on a lead a lot more than anywhere else, but there are dogs everywhere… Beach first thing Sunday morning is good to let them have a run around off lead…

Agree with the last 2 posts – the people here stating helpers are not slaves, and should not work past their 8 hours sound ridiculous, and probably don’t have helpers... Our helper is a part of our family, she does not graft from 7 when she wakes all the way through with 2 x 15 minute breaks and 1 x...

I agree with the sentiment that New Moons’ response was pretty darn comforting… Are they a Sing company?

I did hear all Brit Passport services were offshoring and centralising, I think if you’re an Expat in the EU they all go to Paris now… HK must be our new shared services hub?

Hey, maybe now in HK you will get shown a naff catalogue, and choose from a cheap looking LV, Prada, or Gucci passport…

even meeting local dog owners is such a contrast to when meeting an expat dog owner. i find expat dog owners friendlier , same goes for their dogs :) This is very true – whenever we meet other dogs owned by locals, my dog wants to be a dog and play, tumble, run, fight, even put jaws round each othe...

Get really fit, and master your chosen hobby – or master a new hobby... Have a nice lie in, then up at 8am (earlier or later depending on what you class as a lie in)… Hard fitness for an hour and half – swimming, running or whatever takes your fancy… Breakfast, shower, read a paper… Check stocks, an...

I hate stories like this, you are powerless and been ripped off… A friend of a friend, has a mate of his who has said at the end of his tenancy he is going to stop paying rent for the final 2 months (or however many weeks will cancel out exactly the security deposit)… That way you can leave at an ex...
