Your original words my dear.... "naturalistic, whatever that means" As far as I can see, there is considerable unresolved debate about almost all the various therapies involved, and doing a quick google and cut and paste does not necessarily mean much one way or another. The key point is for me is t...

La Villa River Valley Road - $65 adults buffet (I think kids are around $20) plus free flow prosecco (for adults!!). Plus bouncy castle for the kids. Fab value for money and you can sit overlooking the kids whilst they play. Huge green area for them to run too. I'll second that. We were there on th...

Mrdodge, it is great that you are very happy with the place. However one look on their website gave me a big warning. They mentioned using ABA (they call it naturalistic, whatever that means) and did not mention about any other technique... There is no approach that fits all... Just my 5 cents. We ...

Well, let me restate for those with obvious reading comprehension problems. We have a child that has a number of issues and after being turned down by a number of schools, and not even getting in the door at AIS ( turned off by a phone call with them) , we found Stars Development Center (now called ...

After being turned down by several schools we found stars development center, now international integrated school. Specifically aimed at non mainstream children and I cannot speak too highly of them.

> In Switzerland, Taxi Companies are obliged to offer "infant-seat's". In Australia, taxis are not allowed to have child seats "for hygienic reasons". Overblown paranoia can obviously go either side, but less and less people are capable of a healthy "common sense" middle ground. That's not quite tr...

I have a chronic condition and moved up with 6 months supply, with a letter and had no problems. In terms of cost etc, make sure you have insurance is all I can say, if you are likely to be dealing with the medical system frequently, then it's worth every cent.

Slightly OT, but having tried smiths chippy a couple of times now, it's overpriced and disappointing. Greasy, soggy chips and oily batter on the fish. If anyone is aware of other alternatives I would be interested to know.

I don't think gettig a kindle is so much of a problem, but the thing that has put me off is the fact that singapore is not in amazons list of supported countries and the various workarounds - gift cards, vans etc - all seem to be variously unreliable or just too much trouble. I would be more than in...

It's possible to get quite decent stuff at reasonable prices if you are prepared to buy cases. I deal with a mob that import nz wines , all highly drinkable, from 25 to 40ish per bottle. While you can certinly go to cold storage etc, and get cheaper stuff , much of it you just use for cleaning concr...

We are 6, shop at a mixture of wet market and cold storage/ntuc and the monthly bill is rarely below 1000. Kind of in line with the previous poster, though we don't worry about organic much.

Re: Made to measure bed

Hi, Yes, have had a bed made to measure here. Unsurprisingly, it is manufactured overseas, the 2 major p Aces are Malaysia and Inndonesia. in my case, was made in Malaysia, took quite a while. Have had it for 6 years, it's been very solid and worth the investment , it's not cheap. got it made from a...

Well, I would expect that with two toddlers, any walk to east coast will be a bit more than 5 mins, more like 15 to 20, and of course it depends how far you are away from a tunnel or bridge and how strong your kids are. I'd say that any of the older and larger estates on the the east coast would sui...

We have had a good experience with White Lodge in Katong, and are currently sending our youngest to Columbus with good results so far. There a quite a few pre schools so it should not be too hard to find suitable one. Good luck
