yeah EC rocks. really efficient and they do a nice job. mind you, my haircut is really simple, but still, S$10 is a lot cheaper than where i'm from!

i'm sorry to hear that your doggie is going through this. the best answer i can give you is that "you will know" when it's time. you know your doggie best, and you know when things have come to the point where what made him/her special and amazing, isn't there anymore. there's a spark that goes, and...

mate, what i do is have my vet give my dog a heartworm shot, which lasts for 1 year. with monthly pills, for me at least it's easy to forget, and a shot has the virtue of being really easy. i have not heard specifically about heartworm here, but i totally agree with you... with all of the other bugs...

xbox360 question

hi all ~ i've never been much of a gamer-dude, but i'm going to be picking up an xbox360 next time i go back to the US in a few weeks. basically, i'll be getting one of those "a few units fell off the back of a truck" type deals. anyway, just curious if anyone here can help me out. is there a...

i find burmese art to be some of the most aesthetically pleasing art in asia. and, you can really get it on the cheap when you go there. i have a beautiful painting hanging up in my office that attracts heaps of comments. but, it's really hard to predict what is and isn't a good investment. the govt...

mate, that definitely sucks. but, you'll have to file under "s**t happens" and move on. it probably had more to do with the departments' budget, or the quarterly revenue forecast that caused the ceo to put a hiring-freeze in place, your would-be manager or department head was fired, or any number of...

mate, you need to ask your prospective employer all of these questions. the answer is "probably" yes to most of your Qs about what stuff you would be getting, but you have to find out for sure. and for relocation, you have to be really clear about what you're getting and not getting, because that do...

yeah for a sofa bed, you should give ikea a go. i have an AWESOME sofa-bed from there that i bought 3 years ago that they still sell there (i saw it last week). it is an L-shaped couch that turns into a double-bed that is really really comfortable. in fact, when i lived in sydney, i had it up in my ...

sorry to hear you're in a tough situation. so here is the thing... you are not at all "wrong" here. i think you mean well, but i also think that you're trying hard to balance being nice and not letting yourself be a doormat. the problem is, if you don't say anything now, it will fester slowly, and w...

i order a lot of books from amazon.com and have them sent out to me here. i would be surprised if you could find something better for english-language books. for lingering/in-real-life reading & hanging out, probably the best is border's on orchard road, but it feels a bit more cramped than the aver...

ha, well i guess i did accidentally walk into a thicket, didn't i? i can only speak from my experience, and if you all have different experiences i'm not going to argue with you. i know racial (and may other types of) prejudice exists in the world, and probably in singapore. but i am also 100% sure ...
